There are a lot of different looks for Angelina Jolie in the upcoming film Salt and Sony has released another still shot for us to see.
This particular scene strips away all of Angelina‘s usual beauty and shows us Evelyn A. Salt looking haggard and possibly in undercover mode. It’s been said that the character’s appearance will sometimes be almost unrecognizable and this is clearly a sample of that.
Definitely not my favorite look, but that’s all part of taking on a role like this. Does anyone remember when Charlize Theron played in the movie Monster? Charlize is up there in the “beautiful people” club for sure, but in that film she looked absolutely awful and incredibly ugly, something you wouldn’t even expect to be possible.
Angelina is so often defined by her jaw-dropping beautiful appearance that it’s nice to see such a change in this shot!
Let’s hope that Sony will continue to release more publicity shots, I love getting little sneak peeks at a movie long before it’s released!
In related news, Salt is indeed filming in Washington, D.C. right now – Christine sent me this link, maybe if you’re local you can check it out from afar! Meanwhile, it seems the whole family may be in D.C. because this site is claiming that Brad Pitt will be attending a meeting in Washington on Thursday.

ComingSoon.net, another very reliable source, refers to Salt eluding capture and protecting her husband or the world’s most powerful forces will erase any trace of her existence.
I love that – so often, it’s the damsel in distress. That’s why I loved the French original La Femme Nikita. She protected her lover – who was no wuss, and in the end she had to leave him for his own protection. Hopefully Salt has a happy Hollywood ending.
Is it just me or does she look a bit like Toni Collette in this picture?
JM – Please don’t take it personally if you end up in the moderation queue from time to time, it happens. I usually clear out the queue at least twice a day (in the morning and at night), and often I do it more frequently than that. I’ve been busy preparing for a trip out of town though, which includes inexplicably scrubbing the heck out of my home before I leave (I can’t bear to have our friend come over to spend three days in our home if it’s not perfect!), packing, and making sure that I don’t forget anything. As a result I’ve been a bit slow in tending to the moderation queue.
Just know you weren’t being moderated because I wasn’t “allowing” you on the site, the moderation happens automatically but I then have to manually take care of the comments afterwards. All your comments (except the one where you only wrote “test”) have now been put through.

Thanks Mary Ann for welcoming us here! It’s not only a great community, it’s a great GLOBAL community we’ve got here. I’m from the Philippines (and proud of it, I dare say). Playing down Angelina’s exquisite features should be quite a task. In this photo, they tried to make her look plain, but those piercing and inquisitive eyes just draws one into her and I suppose, her character. Welcome to Coal and Purple, we have a great community here and I hope you continue to visit and share your thoughts with us. A lot to think about Brad and Angie today. Brad’s visit with the Speaker of the House is quite interesting. And thinking about the family renting that estate on Long Island that answers one of my questions of how she is getting back and forth to the city and even DC. Helicopters are fast so they can go into the city real quickly. As for DC I have no idea how long a trip that would be. This is a lovely estate and they should enjoy themselves so much.
Angie is just beautiful naturally and it shows through. She is a great actress too, she really gets into character. Thanks for the pic Sherry. More, I need more!

Thanks for this new photo, Sherry! She looks great in this picture. That disguise is just nice. Can´t wait to see more stills from the set and the trailer of this movie. I like spy and action movies so I´m definitely gonna see this movie next year. I hope that the whole family is in DC. I also read from People Magazine´s web site that Brad really is meeting the Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi today (March 5) to discuss his Make It Right project in New Orleans. Hope that the entire family has a fun time in DC. God bless them!
brad is lucky enough to have angie and when angie came to his life lot of blessing came to his life… she is the luck charm because he was nominated in all his movies from babel down to CCBB which is never happen to his life before and he also been known as humanitarian and meet different kind of people outside showbiz… that he never encounter in his life before. About angie what ever she had looks to potray she will always be beautiful in and out
