I thought this story was really cute! Angelina Jolie has a very special fan over on MySpace, someone who dreams of meeting her some day and who has tried to figure out the best way to do exactly that. Here’s what USA Today has to say about the fan:
Kirk from Los Angeles would appear to be just another typical MySpace denizen. His page reveals that he’s a Sagittarius, loves movies and wants to meet Angelina Jolie. Get in line, kid.
Or maybe not.
“I suppose I could just call her dad (actor Jon Voight) and set that up,” says Kirk Douglas, who faithfully updates his page once a week. “As long as my wife says it’s OK.”
How adorable is that? When I first started to read it, I thought, “yeah, sure. Keep dreaming, you and all kinds of other people want to meet her!” But okay, I guess that Kirk Douglas could probably manage to meet Angie after all. I thought the “as long as my wife says it’s OK” was funny!
The article is actually about the use of social media websites – I think it’s pretty cool that Kirk is online, most people that age have no interest in the Internet. Now we just need to set him up with a blog and a Twitter account!
It just goes to show that Angelina Jolie appeals to people of all ages, from the kids who think she’s cool because of her animated films right up to living legend actors in their 90s!

I think it is great that Kirk Douglas wants to meet Jolie. I lost a lot of respect for Michael Douglas when he made rude remarks about Angelina & Brad. However, his father is a classy guy. I hope one day they do get to meet.
all the tabs are getting into my nerves! why won’t they stop with their stupod lies!? well, come to think of it, as i type this, i realized the answer to my question.. money! get real! their stories gets more exciting and more people would buy it if their stories is all about brad and angie and the kids.. sometimes they do make me laugh, but many times i get annoyed by them..
can this article in REaders Digest last September 2007 stop them?? well, i’ll just share some parts to all of you.. this really show how much they love each other and how much they love their kids..

RD: When we last met, you were a single mum with just one son. You now have Brad and four kids. What happened?
Jolie: I met this amazing person, & we realised that we had very similar views on how we wanted to live our lives. It happened so quickly, with so many children. Yesterday, picking up the kids from school, Brad turned around in the car, and there were three of them. He couldn’t stop laughing. We love them and we are having a great time.
RD: How has Brad been with this? (asking about when she adopted Pax, on how brad is with Pax)
Jolie: He couldn’t go with us to Vietnam to get Pax because he was working. But they got together very quickly. I think Pax, after seeing how much Zahara and Mad and Shi love Brad, understands that he’s his daddy.
Everybody seems to be safe in Brad’s arms. He makes everybody laugh. He helps everybody.

RD: You said you wanted a partner who would urge you to be better. Does Brad do that?
Jolie: He encourages the right things. If I’ve had a full day and just really been a hands-on mum, he’ll make a point to let me know that’s something he’s proud of. If I’m writing an Op-Ed, he’s the first person to want to read the drafts. I could dressed up in the sexiest outfit for a photo shoot, and by his behaviour, he’ll let me know that’s nice, but it’s nothing as sexy as when I’m home surrounded by the kids or reading books, educating myself.
He slows me down to kind of get it right, to relax into the strength of my family and the love.
joliepittfanatic – I agree with you. Angie doesn´t strike me as a mother who would abandon her children either. Neither would she abandon the man she loves very much:Brad. Those two obviously are meant for each other for the rest of their lives. Their share the same values. They love each other, their children and the charity work they both do very much. Unfortunately all that negative writing will continue but I personally won´t take it seriously. Naturally some stories still make me mad but knowing the fact that they´re not true helps me to laugh at them nowadays.
brangelina4ever- “And he keeps it real while saying how difficult it is to juggle all at once.” That’s exactly what I was trying to say in my comment about the interview.
He made it clear that they are very hands-on with the kids while at the same time being honest about the fact that they do have help! :)
cee- ITA! Although the tab “stories” about them sometimes make me angry, mostly they make me laugh. For example, just before the entire family, including Knox and Viv, at least one tab claimed that the twins were sickly, which is why we hadn’t seen them since their debut PEOPLE photoshoot (well, apart from a few extremely blurry airport shots of them in their carseats).
Well, the very next week, practically all of the tabs, including the one that printed the BS about the twins being sickly, had the Narita airport photos of the twins on their covers, and were practically gushing about the twins making an appearence. Obviously they had been just as anxious for photos of the twins as the rest of us had been!
I had a good laugh about that one. Not only were they just desperate for pictures of the twins, but they were being pretty ridiculious by suggesting the twins were sick! I mean, Angie and Brad had said in virtually all of their interviews during their respective promotions of Changeling, Kung Fu Panda, and CCOBB, that the twins were healthy and doing great.
Not only are they both very honest (especially Angie), but if the twins really WERE sickly, I can’t see them trying to hide that fact!
Funny, his son Michael Douglas, said Why did Brad leave that beautiful wife of his to go babysit for Jolie? I guess his Dad is Team Jolie and Mike is Team Aniston.
Also, even if Angie WERE living at the Waldorf Astoria and Brad and the kids on LI, how in the world would the tabs know it wasn’t just because of the Salt shooting. It’s perfectly feasible to think that, if Salt is still shooting in NYC and not on Long Island, Angie may have decided to stay at the Waldorf for the time being in order to be close by wherever the shooting location is.
Kati- I couldn’t agree more! I also wonder where they get some of these stories. I mean, how would they know where the J-Ps are staying right now? I highly doubt they have bugs in Angie and Brad’s bedroom! I also don’t think Angie and Brad would allow their friends to tell the media where they are.
Anyway, the “Angie shrinking away from her family,” angle, is yet another recycled story. They’ve used it about a million times before (after both Shiloh’s and the twin’s births, they even claimed it was due to post-partum depression).
Even though I know Angie and Brad don’t pay attention to the tabs, I get mad when they print “stories” like that. I mean, Angie just doesn’t strike me as the type of mom would abandon her kids!
Look at that, Angie is winning hands down…

Coal, thank you so much for the you tube Angie laugh and the Brad Pitt interview. That’s the first time that I have read it and it’s full of love for the family. And he keeps it real while saying how difficult it is to juggle all at once. Peace out!
These lies about Brad and Angie will never stop. They are the most popular Hollywood stars and they have an amazing family and an amazing love. All of that propagates jalousy, envy and dollars for lieing tabloids. The good news is that these lies do not phase Brad and Angie Thank God.

irma, I am with you on the Mike D issue. At the time he made that remark about Brad and Angie, I thought to myself, heh you have no right to talk about anyone. He caused his wife and children a lot of heart ache.
I also have cancelled my subscription to Star, but my daughter has been picking it up when she does the food shopping and I read the story yesterday and half me wanted to laugh but the other half was very angry. If we go back to before Knox and Vivi were born we were not seeing very much of the JoliePitts except for Rc’s and then the twins were born and again we didn’t see to much of them until all these RC and award shows came up. And if you take a good look of Brad out with Zee and Shiloh you will see that Zee was pulling back from the paps. And then if you look at the picture of Brad going down the stairs with Madd and Paxie, Madd was doing “the Zee stare”. No wonder they stay to themselves. I also miss seeing all of them and yes I will be honest and say that when I do see new pictures I think to myself, okay see everything is okay. I think that we here at Pittwatch all agree that this is a very loving couple, but deep down inside I think we all worry about if they did start having problems how heart broken we would all be. But again I keep telling myself that they have so much love it will be all okay.
About MD comments about Angie, I would love to see him adopt a kid from the third world, he needs to lighten up, critizing someone doing good to others is one thing & doing it is another thing . I used to like him watched his movies even Streets of SF on tv but eversince he said that on his GQ interview he loses his credibility & I stopped watching his movies & his wife’s too. I will always admire Brad & Angie, others are just jealous. God bless.
When their’s no sightings of the JP’s tabloids write trash about them, I am glad that they are not been seen for a week or so at least we know they are having a quiet time with their family & loving it. I miss them too but I do love it when they are not seen for a while. God bless the Jolie-Pitt’s always.
coal – I also think of that same Daily Telegraph interview when I read or hear a new nasty rumor of Brad and Angie. Actually I was thinking of that intyerview just yesterday when I read from Daily Mail´s web site that Angie is shrinking away from her family. According to that story she is living in Waldorf Astoria alone and Brad and the children are living in Long Island. What a lot of BS. These stories come and go. And especially when it´s quiet on the JP front these stories come up so that rags will sell extra copies. I personally had a good laugh after reading this story because it most definitely isn´t true. But where do they get those stories? Does one of their children phone to a magazine and tell them that mommy is living in a hotel? I strongly doubt that. Can´t wait to see new photos of Brad and Angie together either just together or with the kids. That would put an end to those stories which aren´t true anyway. Thank God they don´t pay any attention to those ridiculous stories themselves. They love each other and their children a lot. Nothing will hurt them. God bless Brad, Angie and their adorable children!

KC CONCEPCION, the eldest daughter of singer-actress Sharon Cuneta, flew to the headquarters of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) in Rome last week to plead for more funds-at least $7 million (P340 million)-to help feed poor children in Mindanao.
A rising star herself, KC (short for Kristina Cassandra) spoke to some 100 officials and staff members of the WFP as the national ambassador for hunger, a title she shares with actors Sean Penn and Drew Barrymore of Hollywood, soccer superstar Kaka of Brazil, and actor-musician Jang Dong-gun of South Korea…..
….”Many people think that the Philippines, known for its beautiful tourist spots, does not need the support of the WFP. But there remains a challenge in Southern Philippines, in the region called Mindanao,” she told the top WFP officials……
…..KC was named ambassador for hunger in February 2008. She spearheaded the WFP’s revived feeding programs, twice in North Cotabato and once in Lanao de Sur at the height of the rice crisis and the armed conflict last year.
…..But she said she couldn’t do it alone, hence her appeal to the WFP headquarters.
……”My grandfather taught me that when you help others, be discreet about it. But you have one lifetime to help, so you speak about it to get more people to help. This, I believe, is my job as an ambassador.”
Isn’t she afraid of going to Mindanao?
“There’s a reason why I was placed here,” she replied. “You have to have guts. You have to be willing to risk something to be able to help. It’s a privilege. I am part of a bigger picture, even if the Philippines is low-profile compared to Africa. If Angelina Jolie can do something to help, why can’t I? “

Paris Hilton gets grossed out

Paris Hilton is a poor excuse for a debutante. Recently she decided to “totally stop wearing fur and eating meat,” according to Look to the Stars, an online community. When Heather Mills (former wife of Beatle Paul McCartney) showed Paris a video on how animals raised for their fur live, Paris commented, “I was really grossed out!” Does this woman have more than an 8th grade education? She always seems to have a problem with articulation and I for one folks think she’s a bad example for our tweens and teens.
Back in my mother’s day it was Barbara Hutton who ran all over the world, spent trillions on her pleasures, married Cary Grant and died pretty much desolate. I don’t think the desolate part will happen to Paris but I certainly see similarities in both of these women, especially when it comes to their smarts. They don’t have any. Further, folks, I never see anything on the news about Paris other than her nightlife, partying pictures, and kickin it with Nicole somebody.
What sort of message does this send to our young girls?
I on the other hand would pick Angelina Jolie as a better choice of a debutante. She is very charitable and she can actually complete a sentence without having to drink a whole bunch before words can come out of her mouth. She recognized the need for rebuilding New Orleans. She works a lot for kids all over the world who get the shaft. And she isn’t afraid of her opinion, which at times you may not agree with, but at least she speaks in an articulate manner and is knowledgeable about what she is talking about. I can’t imagine Ms. Jolie ever being “grossed out.”
For our youngsters to wake up and be more concerned about the environment, global warming, eating green and living green and helping others, we need a little more woman like Angelina Jolie and NOT Paris Hilton. Paris Hilton is more apt to tie herself to an Aspen tree if someone tells her Aspen is lagging behind in the skiing biz. That would be “hot,” as Paris would say. Help me here people! Am I the only one who feels this way? If you are a parent of a tween or teen don’t lead them down the Paris Hilton trail. Introduce them to some famous young women who have done something. You might be surprised to find some of those young women closer to you than you think.
