Angelina Jolie did a radio interview where she talked about Wanted, life as a mother, and having to film the kissing scene with James McAvoy. James had mentioned that it was awfully awkward, something I’ve heard many actors in general say. You can listen to the interview over here.
The movie opens officially in just two more days – I’m so excited! I won’t be able to see it this weekend, but I’m hoping to see it soon. Who else is going?
Thanks to everyone for keeping things hopping over here in the comments while I was gone. We all enjoyed a much needed break out in the country by the lake, swimming, cooking food on the fire, listening to live music, and hiking. After a tiring trip home it was nice to find a lot of great conversation in the comments and not as many moderated comments as I had expected. That’s why I didn’t start a specific discussion thread, because I didn’t want it to get “broken” by missing comments. As for those of you who wondered why I was posting when I was away, that’s the magic of WordPress – I simply found several great videos on Friday, and set them to post one per day ahead of time. That way everyone had stuff to see each day even if I was far away from Internet access.
It was nice to get away from everything but it’s nice to be back too!

Pitt, Jolie give $1 mln to kids impacted by war 1 hour
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Actors Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have donated $1 million for educational aid to children impacted by the Iraq war in that country and in the United States, a charitable organization said on Wednesday.
The Jolie-Pitt Foundation has given $500,000 to three groups in the war-torn country which will provide aid for some 5,700 children, said the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict, which is co-chaired by Jolie.
Money will pay for basic necessities, including books and supplies to help send Iraqi children to school. Aid will also go to refugee kids, and to school rehabilitation programs.
The foundation also gave $500,000 to help children in the United States who have a military parent killed in Iraq, or who are separated from a parent stationed in the country.
The donation for U.S. kids will go to the Armed Services YMCA Operation Hero Program, which will provide educational tutors and counseling to 2,500 kids.
Pitt, 44, and Jolie, 33, have donated millions of dollars to charity over the years. Jolie, star of action movie “Wanted,” has long been an advocate for refugees and is a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
Pitt, who starred in critically acclaimed “Babel,” has advocated for relief in the Darfur region of Sudan and has backed a program to help build homes for survivors of Hurricane Katrina in the United States.
The pair have four kids of their own, and Jolie is expecting twins.
I’m going to see it Friday too; hubby asked if I could wait until Saturday, I said no. Too bad it’s not playing in IMAX. As usual, I’ll see it a 2nd time this weekend – I’m sure there’ll be way too much going on for me to catch just in 1 viewing.
I am going to see in on friday there is no way I’m waiting any longer I’ve been waiting so long! Can’t wait any more
If you haven’t been by the Wanted website you have got to check it out.
If you explore and click on the little hexagons everyday you see it there should be bonus clips like a the whole shot out at the beginning in the store, the whole car chase in the red viper with Fox driving with her ft. And several others. But the clips are spoilers so if you don’t want to ruin the movie then don’t watch them but if you can’t wait like me watch them cause they are good.
Hey..I’ll going to see WANTED today as we have the launch date a day before US. I bet it’ll be really fun so excited.

2 great interviews (look on the right column).
1. don’t watch if you don’t want to know how the spectaular stunts were done (starts off the same as other videos, but this is different): Access Exclusive – Behind the Scenes of Angelina Jolie’s ‘Wanted’ Pt. II.
2. Long interview of James McAvoy (seen with his lovely wife) with his beautiful Scots burr (I think it’s burr, the Irish have brogues, right?), & short one with director Timur @ premiere at LA Film Festival.
Kim, this is the URL I posted in the “Everybody Loves Angelina” thread: http://www.radio1movies.com/2008/06/angelina-jolie.html. It shouldn’t work any better than Sherry’s link, but you can try it. You can also start there to look for a transcript, if there is one.
Welcome back, Sherry. I hope you’re feeling refreshed & renewed. Sounded like an ideal vacation, especially the live music.
I heard it, it was a great interview although the host talked more than angie did. I love the part when he asked her what’s next for her and she said have a couple of babies, that was great. I wonder what date she did the interview on. I will have to go back an check.
I am having trouble listening to this, is there a transcript?
wow, good to hear that you had a great time sherry, welcome back. :)
Sherry, you didn’t make any comments about the pic’s of AJ looking huge and ready to pop. Thoughts?
Welcome back Sherry, glad to hear that you and your family had a good time.
