Absolutely agree here- I have never understood why people hold this mentality that you can’t be a fan of all three of them. You either choose sides or you aren’t really a fan. It’s childish and immature. I personally have nothing aganst JA. I think the fans of all three have created much more out of this situation than is there. None of us knows everything that happened behind closed doors and we are usually commenting on rumor or brief quotes. I say let it go already- it’s been much too long to keep rehashing every detail. I hope JA finds happiness as well as hoping Brad and Angelina continue to be blessed. I can never understand not wanting all 3 to be happy in life!!

First of all, about SNL: Phoebe pointed out that she thinks SNL HAS spoofed JA before. Just because you haven’t seem them do it doesn’t mean they haven’t!

Regarding Sheryl Crow…Okay, fair enough. I did not realize that she’s made remarks showing obvious dislike to Brad.

Now about the point I was trying to make about the comments: Angie’s comments in Vogue being taken out of context is just ONE example of the many times that has happened. Her comments were also taken out of context when she gave the interview to Elle Uk (the one that contained the infamous “blob” comment), and when she gave an interview after adopting Pax (although, in the latter case, I have to cut the press some slack. This is because she gave the interview to the Vietnamese press in English. Then they translated it into Vietnamese….and then the American press translated it BACK into English. Therefore, it’s extremely likely that something literally got lost in translation).

And those are just a few of the times her comments have been taken out of context. My point is, how do you know that press wouldn’t STILL twist JA’s words even if she said “no comment” or “I don’t talk about that”. In fact, then they’d probably accuse her of hiding something, or of her not wanting to admit that she still loves Brad.

And finally, about defending JA. Well, Phoebe has said that she is a fan of JA as well as Brad and Angie, so it makes sense to me that she would defend JA just as she does Brad and Angie.

As for me, I defend JA because, as I said before, I can’t stand seeing anyone having their feelings hurt. Also, as I said earlier, that doesn’t mean that I think JA is blameless or a total angel or anything. I just think that she doesn’t deserve all the venom being spewed at her. I mean, people are making a WAY bigger deal out of this than it needs to be, in my opinion!

Okay, I’m really done commenting on this!

She has a right to be hurt, and that gives her the right to re-ignite the nonsense at each chance she gets? I don’t agree with this. She’s 40 and has been in the business long enough to learn from her mistakes, like everyone else.

Angie’s words in Vogue were taken out of context, you know what? The next time she was asked she said am not commenting.

Your answers brings to mind, part of my first responses when this bizarre turn of events started. This need by everyone to defend this woman regardless of her actions is mind boggling to me.

Crow is on record like Goodwin as Team JA. She was interviewed in NYT bitching about Brad and he’s recent actions/choices in life. Where in that tells you that she is fan of Brad let alone Angie?

Neither of you have still given me an example of how my response re:Tina is an insult/attack on JA! Why has Fey and friends never done a spoof of JA? Is Angie the only one out of the 3 whose life is full of comic moments. Because they have spoofed her a LOT!

Other comics like Leno and Stewart, have made fun of BOTH!

Like I said the responses from you guys are bizarre to me,as well as one sided and proofs my conclusion re: knee jerk need to protect her. But as you stated we have to agree to disagree!

I also know that Sherry has said that, although this is a Brad and Angie fansite, that doesn’t mean it’s also a Jen-bashing site. She’s also said that she herself is a fan of all three of them.

Therefore, I try to be senestive to that and not bring up JA unless she’s either relevant to the post or someone else does first.

And Sheryl Crow being friends with JA automatically means she also dislikes Angie? In JA’s case, while I’m certainly not saying she’s blameless or anything, I don’t think she deserves all the venom being spewed at her (just as we PittWatchers think Angie doesn’t deserve all the venom that’s been spewed at her all the time).

Yes, she could have adopted a “no comment” or “why should I talk about that?” attitude, but I have a feeling her quotes would still get taken out of context, just as Angie’s often are. Speaking of which, I see nothing wrong with her comment about the comic. It IS funny in the sense that, even after four years, the tabs are STILL make a huge deal out of something that (according to Brad in his W interview) really isn’t/wasn’t a huge deal! I think that’s what JA was trying to say as well. In fact, I’ll go even further and say that I have a hunch that if Brad and Angie have seen that comic, they’ve probably laughed at it, too.

JA could be a type of person who often feels put on the spot when asked about Angie and Brad. When someone feels like that, they often get flustured and say things they don’t mean to. For all we know, she’s kicking herself right now for what she said in the GQ interview.

As for Sheryl Crow: Unless she has actually come out and said she dislikes Angie, there is absolutly no proof to show that, just because she’s a friend of JA, she also dislikes Angie. I really don’t see how simply being friends with someone is taking sides.

In terms of John Mayer’s comment, maybe JA’s people chastized him because they thought that, while he was indeed joking, it wasn’t the best joke to make. Or maybe they didn’t chastize him. Personally, until I read about that in PEOPLE, I’m going to take it as yet another tabloid rumor (the chastizing, I mean).

Also, once again, Brad said in his W Interview that the Angie vs. Jen thing is media-created (please read that sentence twice. I really don’t want to explain it yet again!). He also called her a “sweetheart” and said that, basically, he feels like she gets “dragged” into it, which to me is basically say she feels put on the spot and says something she ends up regretting later. He also said they talk occasionally.

Granted, the GQ interview had not yet come out at the time Brad did his W interview. Brad was with JA for seven years and married to her for four (not counting the year they divorced) of those years. Therefore, I think it’s safe to say that he knows her a hundred times better than any of us ever will (heck, he probably knows her better than some of her friends do!).

To sum things up: By no means do I think that JA is blameless or a perfect angel. However, she IS human, just like the rest of us. Therefore, she’s going to make mistakes, and she’s going to end up sticking her foot in her mouth at times.

Also, just like the rest of us, JA has feelings. Put yourself in her shoes and imagine how YOU would feel if people were saying all the stuff to you that you (and others. I’m certainly not saying you’re the only one) have been saying about her.

Can you honestly tell me that you’re feelings wouldn’t be hurt? I don’t know about you, but I don’t like seeing ANYBODY’s feelings hurt!

All of that said, I’m not going to argue this with you any further. I think at this point that we need to simply agree to disagree.

JA’s comments “were not that bad”? Really!? A picture of her shooting Angie is funny to you too? Like Phoebe? And calling Angie’s reputation into question is okay? Yes I understand that her words could have been taken out of context or edited to be something it was not. So after her experience with Vogue, like Angie, she could have adapted a “why would I comment on that” attitude. But she didn’t! Why?

But I have no issues with you, JoilePittFanatic. However I do have an issue with Phoebe re:her passive aggressiveness towards Angie and the ant’s that suddenly come alive in her pants whenever JA is mentioned.

*Secondly Phoebe You should go back into archives and read the negativity you have thrown Angie’s way in the guise of your “opinion”.

Again my point with mentioning JA was to make one about Tina. If I had wanted to say or imply negative things about her, like you do with Angie all the time, I would have.

Mayer plays games with the press, it’s he’s second career. In this situation “congratulations or No comment” would have been better! And if it was a joke, JA’s people would not have seen fit chastise him for it.
