MTV has a great video interview of Angelina Jolie talking about Wanted. Since she won’t be on the red carpet for the premiere (I just can’t see her flying back to L.A. for it), this is the next best thing.
The video seems to alternate between being available and unavailable so I don’t know if MTV is having server problems, so you can also read the transcript on the site.
I was already laughing by the first exchange:
MTV: Though the film is called “Wanted,” this is not a story about you and everyone pursuing you — the fans, the paparazzi, et cetera. Correct?
Angelina Jolie: Wouldn’t that be a horror movie? [Laughs.]
At least she has a sense of humor about all the insanity!
Other great highlights include:
MTV: This is your first action flick since “Mr. & Mrs. Smith.” I would think it’s a little different rolling around with James McAvoy than with Brad?
Jolie: Well, you know Brad was … [Laughs.] I’ll always prefer rolling around on the floor with him than any other man. You know, in general. [Laughs.]
MTV: Do you imagine such physical roles will always be a part of your career?
Jolie: I think there’s always going to be a side of me … you know, as long as I can. Harrison [Ford] is doing it, and he’s doing it well. It looks like I’ve got some more time.
MTV: It’s been written by more than one person that there is no one sexier with a gun than Angelina Jolie. How do you take something like that?
Jolie: Wow. I’ll take it. I like it.
MTV: Is there something sexy about gunplay?
Jolie: Yeah, I mean obviously there’s a part of me that takes the world of violence and death very seriously. However, when it comes to protection or when it comes to just the skill of shooting … I’ve gone to the range with sniper rifles and things like that. Brad and I both like it a lot. That is something we have in common.
I love when Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie do interviews. Go check it out!
(Thanks, Ligaya for emailing me the link)

@ Lucy:
i don´t like tattoos either but i have to say that i think that ANgie is the only woman (IMO) who still looks incredibly gorgeous even if she would have half her body tattoed. and her tattos are extraordinary, nothing usual.

Angelina Jolie Described as “Incredible Mother” by Co-Stars
Atlanta, GA 6/17/2008 03:21 PM GMT (FINDITT)
Angelina Jolie’s ‘Wanted’ co-stars have described her as an “incredible mother.” ‘Wanted’ actor Thomas Kretschmann admits that meeting Jolie is nerve-wracking, but she is “just a cool woman.”
“It’s a little intimidating, someone like her who is presented as a goddess. [But] it takes, like, 30 seconds and you figure out she’s just a cool woman,” says Kretschmann, who plays an assassin in the film. “She knows exactly what she wants and she’s extremely smart.”
Jolie’s co-star Common adds that the actress is a great mother. “She’s an incredible mother, a beautiful mother. She has so much realness to her,” said the rapper-turned-actor.
‘Wanted’ is due out in theaters June 27. It also stars Morgan Freeman and James McAvoy

Angelina Jolie Records PSA for World Refugee Day
By Pete Norman
Originally posted Wednesday June 18, 2008 08:25 AM EDT
Angelina Jolie has recorded a public service announcement for World Refugee Day on June 20, to help raise awareness about the plight of millions of people at risk.
As emotive scenes of refugees flash on the screen, Jolie – who is a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Refugee Agency – explains what life is like for millions around the world.
“They have survived war, they have survived displacement, they have survived rape, they have survived hunger and disease,” say the actress (who is expecting twins with Brad Pitt this summer). “For those who have survived and for those who did not, we are thinking of you on this day.”
The clip will begin airing on YouTube, Facebook and on the UNHCR home page Wednesday morning.
The actress and human rights activist is also planning to write an article for a major U.S. newspaper to coincide with Friday’s day of action. (World Refugee Day will be marked by events worldwide: London’s Trafalgar Square is being converted into a replica Darfur village, Rome’s Colosseum will be lit with the refugee agency’s logo, and, in Washington, D.C., Chicago Bulls basketball player Luol Deng will receive the Humanitarian of the Year award.)
Jolie, 33, first became attached to the work of the UN’s refugee agency during a February 2001 visit to war-torn Sierra Leone in west Africa, prior to filming Beyond Borders with Clive Owen.

this is the link that goes directly to the mtv website that I used to go watch the interview. Short and sweet and she sounds that she’s really happy. Loves it! By the way Sherri, thank you so much for moderating this wonderful website. I love going to your site and seeing what kind of new stuff you have on the “royal” family….hehehe…we may not have princesses and queens or kings but we have Brangelina! Love the videos too. Keep up the great work. I certainly appreciate it!

I saw an advance screening of Wanted last night (June 18th) and the movie does not disappoint. There’s plenty of action, even my bf who was a bit skeptical after watching previews, really enjoyed it. It was entertaining and Angelina looks STUNNING as usual, her face is perfection!
