I know many readers love to know what Angelina Jolie is wearing when she appears on the red carpet for different events. One question I’ve seen pop up is whether she was wearing the same shoes for the Golden Globes as the ones she wore earlier in the week for the Critics’ Choice Awards. It’s not a strange question since she has worn the same tan Christian Louboutin heels to many events, and we know that she’s been wearing those infamous love-them or hate-them nude flats into the ground.
However, it turns out that no, while they did look similar because of the similarity in color of her dress both nights, they were not the same shoes. For the Globes, Angelina Jolie wore silver Jimmy Choo heels.

Let’s do an informal poll since the reviews have been so mixed. Did you love Angie’s sparkly silver gown at the Globes? Hate it? Did you feel sort of neutral?
For me, I thought the dress was gorgeous. I wasn’t completely sold on the fit of the top part of the gown, but I’ll bet it was really comfortable, especially when you’re going to be enjoying a meal too – can you imagine wearing a super form-fitting gown and then eating? Mostly though, I loved the silver color which I think goes nicely with her hair color and her beautiful eyes. I also absolutely love the long slit up one leg, really sexy without being over-the-top.
What are your thoughts on her fashion choice last night?

I love the dress it’s not over the top.
And I agree with JoliePittFanatic; she’s been pregnant two times with 2 years between. The slight bump is left over and it’s great.
Regardless of the tabloid chatter these her and Brad do plan their lives.

there’s a funny video of JP over at Randi’s site where Brad was asked whether he wears boxers or briefs and Angie was the one who quickly answered, “that’s my business,man” and they all laughed. too cute.

By some of the comments here I would conclude that some of you haven’t been paying attention these last few years. Since being with Brad she has become a fashion Icon. I know little about names, fabrics etc. but, my god, what about that beautiful earth tone flowing dress, the canary yellow at Cannes, the beautiful Grecian motif, the green, St. Johns, etc. Even though I am no fashion expert I find myself always looking forward to seeing what she wears next at any event, red carpet or otherwise.

To everyone that says “there is only only Angie”. I really don’t think Megan Fox is trying to be AJ. I believe the media has done a number on her because she looks similar dark hair, cat shaped eyes, and a couple of tattoos. Why can’t we just appreciate people for who they are with out comparing them to every one else all the time. If you will remember a lot of the roles AJ did in her 20’s she was blond, so how does that compare.

oh ya, and I do believe it is her and Brad’s jobs to look good and fashion forward at award shows. This is apart of being an actor the red carpet, interviews and photo shoots. At any other time they can wear what ever they want. I can’t wear jeans to my office I have to look professional at all times at work, so they should have to look glamorous (or even edgy) on the red carpet.

kim, i think the whole Angie vs. Megan issue began when this article was published on National Enquirer last year. Considering the source, i don’t know if it’s true or just another made up rumor to clash them but here it is:
The comparisons are many between red hot brunette Megan Fox and Angelina Jolie. Fox may be tiring of the comparisons, a report from veteran gossip mike walker of the National Enquirer suggests in his column this week. Many say that Megan Fox is the younger version of Angelina Jolie, which should be considered a compliment.But the “Transformer” vixen was recently partying at Vancouver’s exclusive “Bar None” and according to the report she raised some eyebrows when she suddenly started yelling at a male admirer who’d made a comment she’s heard a thousand times.
“You look a lot like Angelina Jolie,” the man told Megan, according to a source cited in the article. Walker’s source says Megan raged back, “Look, are you aware of who ‘FHM’ magazine voted the Sexiest Woman Alive? ME! Not Angelina Jolie…it was ME! Meow, dissing Jolie by invoking a sex survey! “Jolie was lucky to make Number Nine!” Fox reportedly said. As patrons gawked and rolled their eyes, high-flying Fox launched into a wild anti-Jolie rant, shrieking stuff like: “I’m only 21 and she’s like…ancient! I’m much hotter than her.” Megan raised some eyebrows with some recent topless photos that may have give her a bit of an edge but in Jolie’s defense she is eight months pregnant.

Angela, Wow that is quite a story about Fox and her rant, but on the night of GG I saw some one interviewing her and she was talking crazy. I thought to myself, what is her problem. I wish I could remember every thing that she said, but my memory is not so hot any more.
Sherry, do you have any idea if some thing is wrong with Ligaya or her family? I know that you have occasion to e-mail her.

Mary Ann – I haven’t heard from Ligaya since she said that she was going to New Orleans. I don’t know if she’s still there and doesn’t have internet access or what’s going on. The people who want to send her the scarf that she won have been waiting because they need to confirm something on her address but I haven’t heard back from her yet.
I’m sure it’s nothing and she’s just away, but I also hope that she’s doing okay and isn’t sick.

angela, you’re right. Considering the source, I don’t think Megan said those things. I’m not saying it’s not possible, but it is the NE, another tab prone to spread fiction.
Also, somebody on jjb posted a pic of Megan at the GG and gawking (and I mean awestruck and mouth agape gawk) at Angie. And if they are to be believed, rumors have long been swirling about Angie being Megan’s biggest idol since her teen years. And if Megan’s a fan, the better.
I think the media just like to pit Angie against anyone just to stir a bit of buzz and sales. But I would agree with Nick Verrios that there is only one Angelina. And it is unfair to Megan to compare her to Angelina because they are different and she’s just starting out. Unfortunately, she may never live down the comparison.
Personally though, I really do not think they look alike. Sure, they have similar physical attributes, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they look alike. Both have dark hair, cat-like eyes and plump lips (though Megan, I believe has enhanced hers … I used to watch Hope & Faith, and her lips then were thin), but then, Carmen Electra has those physical characteristics, too, and she doesn’t look like either one. I think the idea that Megan has a sensual and edgy image also contributes to the comparison.
Mary Ann, I saw that interview by Giuliana on the RC, and I was put off by her response about her boyfriend. Megan came off as one of those girlfriends who lays on the drama and guilt trip on her partner. Though, Lainey has a different take on it, and it’s probably more negative and disparaging than my view. I don’t know if she was nervous (which she indicated she was) and maybe there was a lot on her mind in the personal sense; maybe that’s why she divulged lot more than she expected.
