Back when Angelina Jolie hit the red carpet in Cannes, aside from noticing the jaw-dropping dress with the amazing slit up one leg, a lot of people noticed that the tattoo on her arm – the one with the co-ordinates of each Jolie-Pitt child’s birthplace – looked a little different. I saw it too, but I had had some trouble finding a really good photo that showcased it well.
This weekend, while looking for something else altogether, I found a fantastic photo of Angelina’s tattoo.
As you can see, she has added a curvy line up around the top right side of the column of co-ordinates. I can’t tell if there’s a matching one on the opposite side. I would imagine that there isn’t one at the bottom because then it would be awkward to add any new co-ordinates and we all know that both Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have said they still want more children eventually.
I must confess, as cool as that tattoo is (I love the idea of permanently marking the birthplace of their kids!) and as awesome as the shoulder tattoo is as well, it’s really that tiger tattoo on her lower back that I love best. There’s just something sexy about it. I know not everyone is into tattoos and some people think they look unattractive on her, but I adore tattoos. I have two myself and have to keep myself well away from tattoo parlors because they’re addictive and I can think of at least three more that I’d love to get one day, so I understand Angelina’s desire to keep adding new ones – or in this case, modifying ones she already has.

i wouldn’t call BBT a “close” friend either. but like you said, if you think angie should have kept her BBT tatt, fair enough, glad angie has some sense though! lol!

Lori your interpretation of the new addition tattoo is wonderful. I’m sort of think like that too. It’s like she wants to protect her children from harm.

I have a few tattoo’s, I make sure they are in places that I can cover them up when I’m at work, you have to be professional and tattoo’s don’t really come across as being professional. I do have one piece of advice to any one thinking about getting a tattoo, find some thing that means a lot to you personally and that will always have a special meaning to even when you are old and wrinkly and half the tattoo is hidden in the folds of your wrinkles, because this is for ever. And never get someone else’s tattoo, find your own and make it yours.

I forgot to add that once you decide on your tattoo think about it for at least 6 months and then if you still want it go get it. Never get a tattoo on a whim, especially the first one.

close friends that see each other barely / maybe once or twice a year? BBT was not even asked to film a segement of angie’s documentary “a moment in time”.
they remain friends, i have never heard angelina use the word “close” friends. friend yes, close friend no.

Sherry, I am very slender up top so they said that due to having very little flesh there so they say I would have very little pain buffers, like your ankle. That is a spot I was not brave to do it.
My Mother and Mother in law were mystified about my getting a tattoo as I was in my 30s when I made that decision. They didn’t realise I needed to do it to prove to myself I didn’t need anyones approval as something like that never goes away. That was why I picked a baby tiger cub.

i bet he would not be happy about it:D in his place i wouldn´t find it great – but if it was me then i would say : ok it was too hasty to have that tattoo but now its done. THATS exactly why i think tattoos are a risk – espescially those with the partners name on it. BUT didn´t she remove it way before she even met Brad?
casey: it doesn´t matter how often you see a person to be best friends with him. i see my best friend two or three times a year due to our jobs. i recall Angie saying that they are close friends and are still in contact…..but in the end – it doesn´t matter. i think its unpolite to say that i have no sense though.

oh and i hope nobody got this wrong. i have absolutely nothing against tattoos or people who have some…..personally i would just not get one for stated reasons:)

You know what?
I have three tattoos, and a very pale skin; they stand out very much and they’re very dark. I was wondering how angies’ tats look that light on her, even tho she has a pale skin. do you think she gets them enlighted with laser?
I know they enlight with time, but not that SHORT time…
don’t know. they’re cool anyway!
