Now here is a story that makes sense – finally.
Angelina Jolie reportedly wants her baby to be born in France as a tribute to her mother.
Angelina Jolie’s mother actress Marcheline Betrand, who is being treated for cancer, was born in France.
Apparently, Angelina Jolie plans to maintain a “circle of life” by giving birth to her first child with Brad Pitt in France, reports The Sun (UK).
I guess we might as well forget about the wedding stuff, as I don’t think we are going to know until they are darned ready to let us know. Lord knows we, and everyone else on the planet has tried. 
What we DO know, however is that they are approaching baby time pretty rapidly – and I don’t think they can fake us all out on that one! 
Is it true that her mom is so ill?
I think so – I have heard it mentioned in many places – she has uterine cancer that is spreading, if I am not mistaken.
But her mother wasn’t born in france!
Here’s an excerpt from her Allure Magazine interview November 2004:
“Jolie’s own father-actor Jon Voight-left her mother, Marcheline Betrand, when Jolie was six months old. He seldom saw his daughter while she was growing up, and after a brief reunion, the two again became estranged when Voight publicly questioned aspects of her behavior as well as her fitness to be a parent. “We don’t speak,” is all Jolie will say about him. (She has legally removed Voight from her name.) She is, however, extremely close to her mother, who is often wrongly identified as a French actress. “My mom is as far from French Parisian as you can get,” Jolie says. “She’s part Iroquois Indian, from Chicago. She grew up in a bowling alley that my grandparents owned. She studied to be an actress, but she married my father, and by 28 she was divorced with two kids. She gave up her dreams.”
Now while it doesn’t state that she was born in Chicago, it also doesn’t say that she was born in France either. As far as her illness, once again I had a link I let get away without bookmarking it, but it was about her cancer being a thing of the past.
There’s plenty tabloid reports stating the opposite, but not one reputable source doing so, and so I’ve chosen to look at the relationship between mother and daughter for my answer.
I believe if Marcheline were as ill as the tab’s state she is, there would be nothing IMO that would keep Angelina from being with her mom during this time. I believe she’d be back in the states, or would have brought her mom to Europe. JMHO
Exactly bamz. Marcheline is in the States and again I also read about the cancer 5 years ago and now being treated. As far as I know she is not dying. It´s just this rumours about her Mom practically a death bed don´t seem to stop at all!
I agree with you too bamz. By all accounts Angelina has a very close relationship with her mom and I doubt that she would be willing to spend that much time away from her, and be so far away, if she were gravely ill.
Yes, I’ve also read and heard it mentioned several times that Marcheline is not French but part Iroquois. I’ve seen pics of her when Ange and her brother were young and she looks exactly like her daughter.The Iroquois part would explain how Ange gets her exotic features I think.
Personally I think she got her exotic features from her father, Jon Voight. He has slavic ancestors.
