We’ve been waiting impatiently to find out what’s happening in Medium next season and finally have a bit of a spoiler:
Anjelica Huston will star in six episodes of the NBC drama “Medium.”
According to the article, she is an investigator from Ameritips and strikes a bargain of some sort with Allison DuBois. That opens up so many story line possibilities. I think I’ll put up a poll to find out what you think is going to happen with these episodes!
Oh, boy, this sounds exciting, and I think it is huge news for Medium. With a name like Anjelica Huston attached to it, surely NBC will do more promotion and it will get more media coverage.
I can’t wait to see Huston and Patricia in scenes together, going head to head. They are both fantastic actresses and should provide some very memorable scenes. This is going to be SO awesome. Maybe it will give the show a much needed ratings boost. I loved what GGC said about getting “an actress who could hold her own with Patricia”. I think he certainly found one.
I wonder if this arc is designed to take some of the burden off of Patricia, to keep her from getting sick again or burned out. I hope that’s not the case and Huston “takes over” the show for that six episode arc. I like her, but I love Allison, and Patricia as Allison is the heart and soul of the show.

Anyone else crossing their fingers and toes that Medium will get to start before January and on a better night? Sunday might work, but I sure wish they would put it back on Monday or find some other spot and promote the heck out of it!
I’m with you, Betty. I can’t wait for the new season and I think this is really big news for Medium. Right now, it’s all over the internet, and if NBC is smart (which they haven’t shown any sign of being), they’ll jump all over this and promote the heck out of it. This would be the perfect promotion to get the new season started off right if they just use this opportunity properly. Maybe NBC will seize this opportunity and bring the show back earlier while the buzz is still circulating about this.
I’ve already heard several people, who don’t watch Medium regularly, say that they will watch when Anjelica is on. There’s already been talk about a possible guest actress Emmy nomination for Huston next year. Wouldn’t it be cool to see Patricia and Anjelica both nominated next year? Maybe this might even finally get Medium some recognition in some of the other Emmy categories, like Drama Series. (Hope, hope, fingers crossed).
Ohh, this is interesting news. I certinally am a fan of Medium getting buzz, and hearing anything about the new season is great. I wonder how they’ll have this play out…
And yes, I hope this means that they are considering bring it back before January!
