He’s just an idiot:

Laid-back Hall just thought he was blending in as the Hispanic fan asked to have his photo taken with the star. He joked, "I am scared of this n** right here," adding, "What up n*?" to another fan seconds later.

Because yeah! White people really do need to be scared of black people, right? It’s so funny to make jokes like that! Gosh, I feel so liberated now that we’re free to call people racist names!
