ANTM Cycle 11 Contestants: Isis

Isis, the 22 year-old transgendered contestant competing in Cycle 11 has already cuased quite an internet buzz! Interestingly, Isis was one of the “homeless” girls in the homeless shoot early on in Cycle 10. Several theories are circulating about this, but Isis did report her occupation as non-profit receptionist. Maybe that’s how she got involved in the show? Via her work?

Regardless, here are two pre-show videos of Isis working it. I think she’s going to be a great contestant and fun to watch.

What do you think? Does Isis have what it takes?

look yall need to quit being so mean. i thing isis looks more beautiful then some real women. i have seen real women who look like men and wish they looked liked her so stop hateing.also it not her fault that she had a hormonal imbalance, if she was ment to be a girl then let her be it no different then someone one being born with an extra arm, leg, or finger. some people just have extra things that doknt belong and isis is one of them. LOVE YOU GIRL

Isis SHOULD be on this show. Who ever said that ANTM was a woman’s show? She IS a woman anyway, just because she was born as a male doesn’t mean she IS a male. Sexual identity is just that AN IDENTITY. Just because opening it up to transgender scares y’all because it gives more competition doesn’t mean that she shouldn’t be there. She should be judged just like any other girl in the competition. Work it Isis, you have more talent than all of the Clark’s and Sharaun’s in this world.

I think Isis looks like a girl, acts like a girl, therefore is a girl. Good luck Isis.

I am all for the ability for TG/TV etc people to get their fair opportunity at jobs, etc., but having him on a show for female models (doesn’t have to be in the name for it to be a fact) is a pure and simple ratings grab. It’s even worse than the conflict they introduce each year with the models with little talent but lots of attitude.

He won’t win, and if he does, CoverGirl won’t use him as a spokesman.

Who cares if there´s a nude shoot? Isis is skinny and breastless enough as any editorial model.
I do think, objectively, that her body is not curvaceous enough to be a model though. But we’ll have to see how she can pull it off. Who knows and maybe she’s as good as it´s expected of her.
(I support her though, very honest and brave).

By the way, if the fashion industry is always looking for something unique and mold breaking, well… Isis is pretty much it, isn´t she?
(And she reminded me of Jaslene Gonzalez. Maybe that´s why she´s grown on me jejeje).

First of all ISIS IS a woman NOT a man. Nothing about her is male (except for that little bit extra).

Transgender means even though you are born physically one gender but the mind is totally another. it is to do with a the wrong amount of hormones in the womb. it is not something that can be chosen but just “happens” do you honestly think trans people choose to be so? dont you think they would rather have their gender in sync with both the mind and body?

all those of you referring to Isis as HE, Man, It are just being very insulting Isis is a SHE, a WOMAN. which also means that Isis has all the rights to participate in AMNT as all those other girls. Go Isis WOOOO

first of all, i think its rude to use “he/him”. (woops, lena just sad that… kudos lena!)
second of all, she’s hotter than i am so stop being jealous and get over this “tyra’s doing it for ratings” thing.
when will all learn to stop being so judgemental.

I was upset when ISIS got sent home — when she was an extra on last season she was a force to be reckon with but we all have to remember that the world didn’t know her secret but now that she is in the spotlight and everyone knows i think she let her nerves get in the way — i really wish she could have went farther — but anyway do you ISIS and good luck

To the poster who referred to her as a him that’s extremly offensive to all trans and gender queers who looked up to Isis in this show.

It’s just airing in Australia at the moment on Fox8 and personally I think it’s a wonderful step forward, although I know she doesn’t win I think it’s a massive step forward
