Listen to “Any Other Day” by Hilary Duff:
“Any Other Day” Lyrics
On a day like any other day
Sky’s so blue it could take
Your breath away
And what could ever fall apart
On a day like it is today?
The kind of day you climb
To the top of the world
And see your life unfurl
Before your very eyes
But when it falls apart
Then you realize
This is all a countdown
To a higher place
Countdown
Into some outer space
Maybe it’s a day when the angels come to sing
Or maybe it’s a day
When the devil comes
To bring a fate you couldn’t
Imagine in your wildest dreams
Countdown
To a higher place
Countdown
Into some outer space
Never mind the smoke and mirrors left behind you
Don’t you go
There’s nothing there
To really bind you
Just let it go and all your
Destiny will find you
Wherever you are (X 8)
Countdown
To a higher place
Countdown
Into some outer space
One a day like any other day
Sky’s so blue it could take your
Take your breath away
‘Cause I remember where I was
When I heard the news
I remember where I was
When I heard the news
I remember where I was
The sky’s so blue like
Any Other Day

LOVE THE SONG!!
THATS HER VOICE, THATS NOT SOME1 ELSE’S, HILARY WOULDNT LIKE THAT. Thats Hilary, it even sounds like her.
It’s actually not the first time she’s done this. Her sister Haylie has dubbed over on a few occasions before, most notably when she was in the Lizzy McGuire movie. Haylie has a higher voice, and a bigger range (she was on Broadway, so that’s kind of necessary). You can hear a change in pace, and tonality when she begins singing “higher”.
I think it’s her. The pacing seems a little bit off but I think that fits the moody, broodiness of the song. I liked it, Hilary did a great job. They stalled the release of the movie to be able to include a song by Hilary, so why would they spend more time and money to blend in someone else’s voice, and why would Hilary risk her artistic credibility (and her own integrity) to sell someone else’s voice and work as her own?
It does sound a lot like her. Perhaps her voice has changed now that she’s grown up and may its her only singing that part.
Is that true Marshal? I actually liked the song because of that portion. This is really heartbreaking.
When she sings ‘to a higher place’, that’s not her. It’s out of her range, and they should have rewritten the music to something she could handle rather than impose someone’s voice in it. I like her music, and her, but she’s just not naturally gifted enough to sing that portion of the song. And no I’m not saying she’s not a good singer, I’m saying her vocal chords don’t have that kind of range. She’s not a soprano.
LOved THE SONGG it was so niceee, omgg such a beautifulll voice she always had!
i will always be your fan!!
I really, really loved the song. Hilary has done a great job.
