Cycle 13 of America’s Next Top Model is now casting!
You can apply one of two ways – either attend an open casting call (see below) or send in a video application. There’s not a lot of information about the casting calls yet, just cities and dates for most of them, but I’ll keep you updated as more information is revealed!
The application is here. Applicants must be between the ages of 18-27 and must be a US citizen or a permanent resident.
Interestingly, the application is asking for those 5’7″ and under to apply. It clearly states this in both the application and in the eligibility requirements. This is either the biggest typo ever and some intern somewhere is getting fired as I type this, or Cycle 13 is going to be all about finding the next top petite model!
Here is what I have so far about the casting calls:
Saturday, February 28 – Miami, Florida
10:00am-3:00pm
Eden Roc (A Renaissance Beach Resort and Spa)
4525 Collins Avenue
Miami Beach, Florida 33140
Tuesday, March 3 – San Francisco, California
10:00am-3:00pm

im sooo excited. finally non-giants can try out.
the reason models are even around are to look good in clothes. Models have set weight standards and so many women have dropped weight bc of models.models resemble what women want to be or look like. i boldly state anoone wants to be short so why would we wnt to confuse america even more. American girls are amongst the tallest in the world, and who doesn’t think long legs are a total turn on. Watch out short girls, yall have less room to spread out your weight so lets not be short fat models (double whammy!)
Awesome that they’re giving the shorties a chance, but for me personally, this sucks. Being 5’10″ and having a very lanky build, the modeling industry is the only place where I feel I can really belong and be, well, awesome. I’ve been waiting 4 years to turn 18 and apply… and now that I am, I can’t even do it! I guess I’ll just have to wait for Cycle 14. But for those who say short people can’t make it in the industry… Kate Moss is about a decade ahead of you on that one. Just saying.

One of the cycle 13 girls. It was released on cw for a split second but was taken off.
i think it is a fantastic idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
It is my last chance to become america’s next top model cause of my age and my heigh: i think cause of this new decision, the modeling world go to be surprised to discover how talentious are the people under 5’7″. because must of tall people can’t do nothing than walk. Taller is someone, inflexible is the body to do some movements. i don’t want to hurt anybody, i just say the truth. And for those who care about the next short america’s next top model, don’t be scared! be confident and optimist, because there’s always an issue for the person who desreve the trophy, tall or short! don’t be surprised to hear about the first short woman in the modeling market if you were not surprise when Obama was nominated first black president of USA!!!
Thank you to the staff, to think about talent not about heigh.
When’s the final cut? Not yet, I hope….anybody heard anything? I want to be positive, but not unrealistic if it’s obviously finished.
hello im dyna,i’m 20 years old,i’m one of this girl who wants to participate in this competition.i’m from santiago and i’m living santiago(dominican republic)now,im studying medicine at the university of pucmm.i jjust want to ask you one question and hope that somebody can answer it,please.i just want to now why do i suppose to be a citizen or permanent resident to participate in this competition.they named the competition america’s next top model and i think every part of america, even it is north america, south america or midle of americas should participate in it with a simple visa, because a lot of girls would like to participite in this competition so badely but they don’t have a green card or are not american!i think that they must think about that after searching the Petite model, which is a goog thing.
thank you for answering me!!!!!!
im so excited for thise cycle its finely at my height range im 4’11 and 18 years old ya i know its realy short i get that a lot, im spunky that way. im lakota sew. this chance for short girls is great it gives us a chance be reconized as a model.
thanks,
Americas Next Top Model
I think this is stupid. Sure, it’s nice to give short girls a chance but even if they win the show it will be a little difficult for them to get bookings after the prizes they win are up. There is a reason why models are tall; I even consider myself too short at 5’8.5″
here are plenty of older directors out there who, for the most part, got their start by directing episodic television. With the vast amounts of money it takes to make a movie these days, the major studios want to decrease the risk of a movie bombing by giving the directing duties over to a seasoned pro Salma Hayek
Okay, Im 5’1” and I weigh 110 lbs, and I have wanted this my whole life. I think it is an awesome idea that tyra is doing a petite top model show=D plus women who want to be supermodels can’t because they are not tall enough, well most of the U.S. population are short. Its not our fault we are too short. I love the idea. Honestly, I have stopped watching ANTM because there was no need to watch it, y watch it and you know your not going to have a shot. right? that’s how I felt, but not ne more, bc there are changes!!!! I am going to audition.
Jane,
That’s what I was thinking– that maybe they needed to push all the dates back because of the whole NYC fiasco. I’m so glad I decided to try out at Harrisburg…I had considered making the trip to NY to see how crazy the tryouts there would be, and now I am so happy that I didn’t have the money or the time!
Keep me update on if you hear anything…and I’ll do the same for you! :-) You never know, maybe we’ll be on Top Model together. Then we could laugh about how funny it was that we were worried about not hearing back from ANTM!
Erin,
Yeah, I tried to look at it as a good experience to have gone through, regardless of getting a callback or not. I was just surprised so many girls were at Harrisburg! But they just put on the website that they’re redoing the NYC open casting…so maybe they haven’t made calls yet??
HAVING THE 5’7 AND UNDER IS A BRILLIANT IDEA..THE GAME IS FINALLY SWITCHING UP. AND FOR THOSE WHO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IT..MUST BE INTIMIDATED! I AM A SEXY SLIM 5’5 AND BE LOOKING OUT FOR ME BECAUSE I WILL BE ON CYCLE 13 AND I WILL WIN! TOON
Hey…has anyone heard back from the Rhod ISland auditions.. IM so confused by the whole proccess…they say “Be ready to go to NY last minute”..but im thinking its too late now
It’s kind of rude to leave people with absolutely no word on whether or not they made it. Considering the fact that hundreds of thousands of girls tried out, you would think they would at least make some sort of online list that posted the names of girls who did make it, so we could check. Generally, it’s the norm to at least send a letter to inform people that they did not make it…to offer some sort of closure.
Grrr. Oh well. I guess I can’t do anything about it. I just wish they wouldn’t leave so many of us confused about the whole process. Anyway, best of luck to you! Let me know if you wind up hearing something!
:-) If anything, it was fun and interesting to have at least tried out, right? I’m trying to be optimistic…haha.
yeaaah, i’m thinking that if we’d made it we would have heard by now because they do the semi-finals the last week of april i believe. and nah, i actually don’t live near harrisburg so I didn’t go either. but yeah…it’s getting late so i feel like we would have heard by now =/
Jane,
I still haven’t heard anything…I’m wondering if maybe since I didn’t hear anything it means I didn’t make it. Have you heard from the CW? :-/ I didn’t go back last night for the “party” they were having. I had to work. Did you go? Maybe they announced people there…?
Erin
Hey what about the auditions for NC?
