Cycle 13 of America’s Next Top Model is now casting!
You can apply one of two ways – either attend an open casting call (see below) or send in a video application. There’s not a lot of information about the casting calls yet, just cities and dates for most of them, but I’ll keep you updated as more information is revealed!
The application is here. Applicants must be between the ages of 18-27 and must be a US citizen or a permanent resident.
Interestingly, the application is asking for those 5’7″ and under to apply. It clearly states this in both the application and in the eligibility requirements. This is either the biggest typo ever and some intern somewhere is getting fired as I type this, or Cycle 13 is going to be all about finding the next top petite model!

I was at Harrisburg too, have you still not heard anything?
Does anyone know about when the call backs come? I attended the Harrisburg, PA casting call and am wondering if we will hear soon about whether or not we made it. One of the CW people there (who I met in the bathroom!) said that they would let us know, but not HOW or WHEN. Do we get a phone call? An email? A letter?
Has ANYONE from the Harrisburg casting call heard back yet? I hate not knowing…

One more thing: A very small % of the population is over 5’7. So, the competition for shorter models will be MUCH higher! We should get some DROP-DEAD gorgeous women with some real talent with a huge pool of people to choose from like that!
Who says a short model won’t look good on the runway? It’s all about BODY PROPORTION not height! You can have long legs and be shorter than 5’8, believe me! And in a pair of heels, a short girl can look much taller. So, who’s with me? Give the shorts a chance!!

ANYONE WHO IS IGNORANT ENOUGH TO THINK/SAY THAT SHORT MODELS DON’T STAND A CHANCE IN THE MODELING BUSINESS IS JUST BEING HATEFUL…… JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE SHORT DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU DON’T HAVE WHAT IT TAKES. I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE THIS WHOLE NEW IDEA OF HAVING AN AVERAGE HEIGHT AMERICAS NEXT TOP MODEL. I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS FOR SO LONG BECAUSE THE WORLD NEEDS TO SEE THAT BIG THINGS DO COME IN SMALL PACKAGES!!! IF YOU WANT SOME EXAMPLES I WILL NAME A FEW JUST FOR KICKS: BADDEST FEMALE RAPPER LIL’ KIM, SINGER/BUSINESS WOMAN JENNIFER LOPEZ, BEAUTIFUL ACTRESS SALMA HAYEK, INFAMOUS MODEL VIDA GUERRA, TALENTED SINGER ASHANTI……AND MANY OTHER MORE!!!

I’m not sure what’s worse, the fact I just wasted 20 minutes of my life reading all that or the fact I’m responding. I’ll throw it down to being bored and interested. XD
At any rate, I’m excited for this cycle! I admit I stopped watching the last few, due to it being the same thing, over and over. So it should be interesting to see what’s going to happen with the “short” models. Isn’t it sad that the average height for women is considered short?
Anyway! I’m planning on going to the Chicago audition, maybe I’ll see some people there! I think they are keeping it quiet (much like Dallas) so another NYC doesn’t occur. So just keep checking, have everything ready, and no worries! Good luck, ladies! :D
wow! nice sense of humor. it’s “kudos” btw. I wasn’t ignorant talking about your little comment so i would appreciate respect back! So i guess since 2 people said you had extremely bad wording you’re gonna sit on here acting like you have good comebacks? wow! this is way too much! soooooo sorry to have offended you but instead of calling myself “plus size” which i am not, i called myself healthy. I personally think you knew exactly what i meant. if i were you i’d also be carful about what i say on here. heres an idea: GET OVER IT. and if you have any real answers to my questions you can let me know. oh and kiddos to eating 3 meals a day you must be so proud.((eye roll))
