News Alert : MTV's TRL Is Canceled!!!

MTV’s Total Request Live has been canceled. After 10 years of being on air, catering to 20 seconds (if we’re lucky) clips of music videos and screaming fans at 3:30pm on weekdays, TRL is no more.

“Ten a great number,” Sirulnick said. “This feels like the right time and let’s celebrate it and let’s reward it.” He added “Let’s let it have a little bit of a rest for a minute. Been working hard for 10 years!”

To end the show, TRL will have a 2-hour special Finale show on November which is the month it’ll finally go off the air, on a Saturday. No definite date has been given yet. TRL’s executive Dave Sirulnick is hoping to have the big stars like Britney, Justin Timberlake, Eminem, BSB, N’SYNC, etc, that graced the TRL studio throughout the years. Carson Daly who was the original host will also be a part of the show.

Wow, I never thought TRL will actually leave MTV’s line-up. How will MTV play snippets of music videos after November? A small screen on the corner of your TV during the many many reality shows?
