Robyn Regehr Has a Son

Calgary Flames’ Robyn Regehr and his wife Christine are new parents! The couple welcomed a son on Friday.

The couple have decided on a name for their new arrival, but won’t share it with the media. But they will tell us he weighed 7 lb. 2 oz.

Robyn flew home from an away game in Vancouver to be by his wife’s side for the birth.

“It’s an amazing, exciting moment for anyone. Particularly, I’d think, the first time. Hopefully, they’ll be home [Saturday] and watching the game on TV. I can’t wait to spend some time with them. I can’t wait for them to come to the rink the first time to see a game.”

After the birth Robyn flew back to be with his teammates, an experience which left him exhausted! But he insists it’s good practice for what lies ahead.

“Part of being a parent is sleep deprivation,” he said. “I’m just getting in on the fun.”
