Are You Ready For… The Country Music Awards?

Other awards shows might have bigger international names and crazy moving sets, but do they have Carrie Underwood's lava dress? The singer took the stage at last year's CMAs wearing a dress that completely dominated the stage. We're pretty sure that there's a small family taking shelter in her train.

Everyone loves the CMAs. Including New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg, who donned a cowboy hat for the event when it randomly happened in New York in 2005. This was the year we learned about how inclusive the country music scene is. Luckily, there is no height requirement for wearing a 10-gallon hat.

Are you ready for more Taylor Swift? Because she basically can never win enough awards at the CMAs. Here she is at 2008's ceremony. She can barely even hold her awards. She's the darling of the country scene, and likely to get buried in statuettes tonight.

Rory Lee Feek and Joey Martin Feek, the husband and wife singer duo that make up Rory and Joey, are the embodiment of casual cool at last night's awards pre-show. I think everyone would admit that getting dressed up in black tie is just too much darn work sometimes. And at the CMAs, everybody's just fine with overalls, y'all.
