Patricia Arquette may not be into publicity, but not all of the Arquettes seem to feel the same way. David and Courtney Cox Arquette are all over the place and Alexis Arquette definitely is into all the attention she can get!
David Arquette has been hanging out with David Beckham at the Lakers games. I guess he needs some down time after all his hard work on the new Propr clothing line!
Courtney Cox Arquette seems to be showing up everywhere. There are some great shots of her at the premiere of her new movie Bedtime Stories, where she plays a mom who asks Adam Sandler’s uncle character to stay with the kids. It looks like a great family movie. I caught a bit on Letterman the other night where Sandler was talking about how he realized he didn’t have a recent movie he’d want his own kids to watch and decided to make one.
Courtney Cox Arquette was also at the Marley and Me premiere. (I hope the movie is as good as the book!)
Alexis Arquette has been hanging out on Surreal Life. I saw a few minutes of the show the other day. Alexis popped perkily into a room, made a few comments and popped out again. The guys in the room looked at each other with dazed expressions. I don’t think they know what to make of her.

And then there is “Alexis Arquette: She’s My Brother” that aired last week. It was supposed to be a documentary about Alexis’s journey to fully transform into a woman via a sex change operation. She invited a crew to film her for a year then told them at the end it was inappropriate for them to want to film her all the time. She cut off all contact, saying whether she decides to go through with the operation will remain a mystery for all time.
Oh honey, “inappropriate” is when someone asks you out of the blue to share something you would normally keep private, not when the whole thing was your idea in the first place and you suddenly change your mind. Call it cold feet. Call it a change of heart. Just don’t call it inappropriate.
Too bad. I was really rooting for her until she got all bitchy and pouty. Maybe it really was all a big publicity stunt as she proclaimed in the beginning then redacted. But all publicity is good publicity, eh?
Katelyn, if I’m not mistaken, Alexis has his/her own reality show on Bravo or A & E or one of those nets and some of it has to do with sexual reassignment surgery.
I left a comment here the other day but I don’t see it. Is it caught in the filter?
Sheila, I found you. The filter doesn’t like the
B word.
Betty, I haven’t been on A&E lately. I guess I’ll have to stop watching old episodes of Medium and Remington Steele and start watching some of the new stuff, but I’m just not into all the reality junk. I liked Project Runway because the outfits they put together in a few short hours were amazing, but some of those shows…I can actually feel my brain cells deteriorating as I watch!
Katelyn, I can’t stand most of the reality crap either, but I do see the endless commercials they run on other channels or see the description as I scroll through the program guide. Project Runway is one that parts are OK, but c’mon, real people couldn’t wear the junk they produce!
Live and let live I always say…
There a thousands of transgender peeps out there. Just because of the Arquette name, it shouldnt make anyone more of a target for comments..whether they place themselves out front or not..or to scrutinise the Arquette name because of their being “known” due to the acting careers they all share in the family…
Ive met Alexis’ brother this past year and he is a very down to earth person quite happy to just blend into the group of surrounding everyday people he was with hangin for the weekend…couldnt meet a nicer person then him. Just the average Joe…
I feel its the media who turn celebrities into a free for all dog chase cat show…Those who choose to live their lifes differently certainly dont deserve this pursuit by them. Like I said there are thousands of transgenders out there…why not go find another?? and Live and Let Live..
Blessings
