Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz seem to be enjoying themselves this summer. Neither are on tour and they are happily getting ready to be first-time parents.
It should be no surprise that they were spotted recently at a bakery buying pastries. I mean, Ashlee is pregnant, so why not indulge? I love the dress she has on in this picture as well. It really helps hide the baby bump but at the same time looks cool and hip. (That’s hip, not hippie. Thankfully it looks like Ashlee has abandoned that look for awhile!)
Just yesterday we talked about Ashlee’s sister Jessica dragging her dog everywhere, and now it looks like Ashlee is trying to do the same. The Sun has a photo of Ashlee (in the same dress as above) lugging her English bulldog Hemingway around. Now, while Jessica’s dog Daisy is just the right size to be carried, I’m not so sure Hemingway is small enough to do the same! Obviously Ashlee is practicing to be a mommy and having to carry a kid, groceries, and her purse around. (Or will she have an assistant do all that?)

I have to say I do not adore either ash or Pete. they look to childish for my tate. But, somehow I love them together. It’s like they bring the best out of eachother and you can fell the true love there. I don’t know – one never does, right – if they will last. But they sure are enjoying this trip together, last the time it may last….
HOwever, I believe even if one day the love will end, the friendship and respect among them will last. I just don’t see Pete as the cheatting or womanizer type….And ash really do depends on him, so I’m optimistic on these 2…
