Ashlee Simpson wants to design clothing

We all knew it was only a matter of time before Ashlee Simpson-Wentz followed in Jessica‘s footsteps and applied her own keen sense of style to the fashion world. According to Star Magazine, Ash is looking to start her own clothing line.

 A source told the magazine:

“Ashlee wants to start a clothing line. She wants it to be both preppy and punk rock. She thinks she can really succeed in fashion.”

Though I am always wary of a celebrity who crosses over into design, Ash is one famous fashionista whose clothing line I wouldn’t mind seeing. If it is anything like her own eclectic wardrobe, then I would definitely buy it!

Ash is following in the footsteps of many a celebrity, including her own sister, Jessica, Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Lopez, Avril Lavigne, Beyonce, Paris Hilton and Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen.

However, this is just speculation, but hopefully we will hear something official one way or the other soon!
