Millions tuned in to watch as aspiring singers and dancers competed for a spot in the world famous group, The Pussycat Dolls. We watched the drama and the tears and the joy that Asia showed when she won the show.
But then, we never saw the Dolls appear with her as part of the group. People have been questioning that ever since the show concluded. The Chicago sun Times has finally told us what happened to Asia:
In the spring, young women (or old girls) sang their hearts out to try to win the CW’s “Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll.” And for what? Winner Asia Nitollano never did become a Doll.
She wasn’t fired, says CW head Dawn Ostroff; she quit to pursue a solo career. This might explain why Nitollano was a no-show for the Dolls‘ performance at the big Live Earth concert earlier this month.
Ostroff broke the news at a press conference Friday. She denies this makes “Pussycat Dolls” pointless. She told me Nitollano quit after the finale aired.
The surprise hit show will return to CW stations in the winter, but this time nine finalists will compete to be in a new trio called Girlicious.

umm no offence to Asia but after she broke like every one’s dreams especially melissa r. and chelsea’s she quit with out the PCD she probably won’t get far.this really makes me madd because she’s not being grateful for what she has.
Truly Asia can NOT sing… Don’t get me wrong, neither can’t I, lol… She should have stayed with the group. I think she made the wrong choice. One of the other girls would have appreciated the opportunity to join the group, she won and then had the nerves to quit because she wants to go solo??????The girl got issues and she’s going to regret it later.
I bet this whole PCD thing was never going to happen just another show getting to make money. I doubt she left to go solo!! If she did they should have had a runner up!
I also doubt she left to go solo i heard she’s gonna still be in the group but not till they realise the new album, it she really did quit i’m sure it was for another reason rather then going solo i mean stupid would that be ????
I really didn’t like Asia’s singing much, and by quitting for whatever reason, she made the whole compettion pointless. I used to think that chelsea should have won, but looking back, i think that Melisa R had the whole package. I think that eather Melisa R or Chelsea would have been way more greatful for becoming a pussycat doll and would quit to go solo.

i remember watching this show from beginnning to end..and i was sooo upset that asia won. compared to melissa R..she’s like nothing. plus one thing i didnt’ get is why did she even want this for her kid, she should be staying at home taking care of her instead of leaving to even go on the show in the first place. irresponsible mother. plus she was so ungrateful for getting the spot where like tons of other girls would kill for. and that whole solo crap…thats so bs…i think i’ll rather hear Nicole solo than her anyday
I think Chelsa had the best voice and it really peed me off when Melissa S i think it was, said that she won’t go any where because you can learn to sing but you have to be a natural to dance…..Any idoit can learn to dance but the real talent is when someone can sing like Chelsa…Chelsa you are awsome and i would buy your cd any day…Hurry up so i can….Robin you made the wrong decision and everybody is peed about it…..
I think Asia wanted to join the group, but I think the other PSD girls might have gone a bit diva over how tiny she was and the fact she didn’t gel. I also thing Robin thought she might have not been the best fit. Even though she was Robin’s choice out of the bunch i still think Robin realised she was too young, and too small in stature to work with the group. She would break the feel of the group. Not to say she’s not talented though. Asia’s a real talent, she has spunk.
I think that Robin just realized what it was to have a PSD with a kid…. Sorry Asia, but you gotta keep an eye on ur kid that’s a big responsability…..and that wasn’t the best fit…. whatever.. anyways, the show brought them a lot of money… they’ve got what they want.
Asia is great.i dont believe that she left to pursue a solo career.maybe the show was a hoax.
i think… asia’s solo career might not last long. melissa r and chelsea wanted this. i think asia wanted it BEFORE she won.. and once she won, i guess she decided that maybe since she got enough publicity maybe she can get a solo career. she just wanted to get recognized.. and used this for it.. and took it away from people who deserved it more than her
Wow, what an ungrateful little b*#*# Asia is. Imagine the other girls who really put their heart and soul into this competition. I for one, absolutely loved Chelsea. You could see that the competition was really getting to her. A lot of the girls ganging up on her was pretty sad, but she kept on fighting and made it really far for a young girl who had NO dance experience. To think that after getting an opportunity like this, winning (when she really shouldn’t have) and then to walk away? Well, I am a firm believer in karma….

Well, I heard that they told her she was part of the pussy cat dolls, but not part of going on tours and stuff. If that is true, maybe that is why she quit. I want to hear from her “exactly” what happened. Hopefully if there was some weird scandal, she wasn’t paid to keep quiet.

i think that mayb she is still in the pussy cat dolls but mayb she decided her daughter was to young to leave and wanted to wait a little while stars take leave all the time 4 there kids children come before any freakin job that takes them away from there kids asia was kool.SO YEA
Asia is so ungrateful!!!! I never liked her from the beginning. I was a huge fan of chelsea!!!! I would have been happy if chelsea or melissa won but not asia. If you have a child you shouldnt be trying to join a girl group!!!!!

Who knows what really happen to poor Asia… The show is only there to promote the pussy cat dolls and to rake in the money. I really knew nothing of the pussy cat dolls until this show!! I got curious and started a research on them and now, I am hook on thier music….That’s what I am talking about.

I’m happy that Asia one but i don’t get why she is not in the group, i understand that she had a baby at home but she did it for her child and for her family. So i wish that she could be apart of the group or she could be a solo singer.

I’m shocked to all these comments. It’s so obvious that Asia was put out of this big joke named Pussycat Dolls. It was all about money, never about “a 6th doll”. Anyway, good for her!!! She’s very talented and if she really wants to do music, she’ll do it!
The reason why she did quit was because she had a 2 yr old daughter! I LOVE Asia shes a realy good singer,she did leave cause of her daughter didn’t you see she got all emotional before the said who one?

Melissa R. was beautiful and wonderful to watch on-screen. I loved her performances.
Anyone who bashes her in favour of Chelsea is just trying to put her down to make Chelsea look better. Don’t get me wrong, I liked Chelsea too, but bashing Melissa R. is rude and unjustified.
