A new MTV show is in the works based on Ask-Elizabeth, an organization created by actress Elizabeth Berkley (better known as Saved by the Bell’s Jessie Spano) that hosts self-esteem workshops for teen girls.
The show, with the working title, “Ask Elizabeth,” will follow Elizabeth and her husband, artist Greg Lauren, as they travel around the country and Elizabeth works with girls in their hometowns.
Said Amy Bailey, MTV’s vice president of development for the News & Docs division, “She does these workshops around the country with teen girls and gets them to really open up about their issues, like self-esteem and body issues. We had been looking for a program that tackled the same issues, so it seemed like a perfect match.”
The pilot should be shot sometime in the fall.
