For those of you who live in Canada, you’ve most likely already spotted Avril Lavigne on the cover of Elle Canada’s August issue. I have to admit, she’s looking incredible these days. Maybe it’s just my taste for classic looks, but I love when fashion magazines class up Avril’s style. Don’t get me wrong her pop punk style is amazing, but let’s face it, she can pretty much rock any style.
In her interview with Elle Canadashe confirmed that her new album will be out in November (yipee)!!! She has also confirmed how stoked she is that people are following her style so closely.
“I knew my style really resonated with my fans when they dressed like me at my shows-that was pretty insane. And it was so cool to see them change with me. For the second record, I wore bondage pants and started putting black in my hair, and they started showing up looking like that too.”
This is most likely why she was featured in this issue, because she has become a fashion icon for young women seeking alternative style. Avril has taken underground trends and turned them into mainstream madness. For someone in her early 20s she is quite the business woman, a successful one to boot.
