Rumour has it that Avril Lavigne will be joining forces with Slash from Velvet Revolver on her new album. Expected to be out in November this could turn out to be an interesting collaboration. We all know Avril likes to rock out, but is she really ‘Slasher’ material? It’s quite the contrast from her duo with Lil’ Mamma.
Don’t really have anymore details but I do hope it results in a killer album! Since I”m a fan of classic rock/metal I think this is a great opportunity for Avril. Teaming up with a big-wig like Slash is no small feat and will definitely boost her career. But will it boost her sound? I hope her collab with former Guns N’ Roses guitarist will add some new flavor to the Avril we have come to know and love.

This could in fact be the best news I have heard all year.
Oh man, I really really want HEAVIER ROCK AND ROLL from our little Avril, that would be my DREAM COME TRUE.
PLEASE AVRIL, make this album heavy on the ROCK. If you make this album MORE Rock and LESS POP and you will sell millions of abums and it will go Platinum many times over.
Well, unfortunately I think these rumours are no longer true. Apparently on Slash’s offical twitter site, he said he was NOT going to be working with Avril Lavigne. BOO!!!!!!!!!!!! Check out this post on Rumors in Music for more info!
