Don’t forget. Tonight’s the night. We’ve been anticipating this for a few months, and we’ll get to see Avril on “American Idol” tonight!
This morning, Avril Lavigne was the guest on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS radio show. She talked about her “American Idol” guest appearance, which is to air tonight. They have that obvious “American Idol” connection.
Yet, the interview also went much further. She also spoke about her ex, Deryck Whibley, “We still work together all the time. He’s one of my best friends. We’ve been friends for a really long time, and we always will be. We’re family and we have a connection.”
In the interview, Avril also announced that her new album will be released in June, featuring its first single to be released in April! New singles in February and April, that’s exciting news.
Also, Avril went into some detail about her new single “Alice,” from the upcoming soundtrack to Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland.” It was composed on the piano, as was much of her new album.

Ryan Seacrest even Tweeted after the Avril interview, “Avril lavigne said she will never forget the “sweaty” contestant…u will see him tonight on idol. She guest judges with Katy Perry.”

In June??! Is she crazy?? How will we survive?? I couldn’t wait for the ”beginning of the year”then it was March, and now it’s June!!! In May she’ll probably say it’d be released in the end of the year…
I can wait, but new stuff in that case has to be… Perfect!

Yes, new single is great. At first I didn’t like it much, cause I think it’s different from everything she’s done so far, but I listened to it dozens of times and.. Well, it’s Avril..says everything for itself, right? 
P.S. I would appreciate if you can find some video of Avril on “American Idol”, cause I couldn’t see her and I would love to. I’m from Europe and time zones and everything doesn’t match so…
