Backstreet Boys member Howie Dorough did an interview with CollegeCandy.com back in December where he shared what the boys band’s goals and future plans are. When asked if they’re going to continue performing for fans in wheelchairs and wearing dentures, Howie had this to say :
We’ve always said we’ve wanted to model ourselves after The Eagles, the Rolling Stones, you know, they were groups that have done it right. They’ve had their ups and downs, they’ve been really popular and times they just kind of like, you know, just went along, had solo careers here and there. We have a really, really great thing going on, especially with the music industry being as crazy at it is, and the economy, and for us to be able to still go out there and sell records and sell tours, we’re all very, very blessed.
I hope they do. It’s very rare indeed for a Pop Music group to still be doing what they were doing when they started. They might have done their own individual ventures at one point but Backstreet Boys are still together and doing concerts and making albums for their loyal fans.
