Yes, Bart Bass did die in a car accident in season 2. But on Friday, Burke was back on the Gossip Girl set filming scenes with Ed Westwick, who plays Chuck Bass.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Bart Bass is not alive and his scenes will not be flashbacks.
Turns out Gossip Girl is planning some kind of “A Christmas Carol” storyline.
Burke and Westwick were filming outside of a homeless shelter. So the “A Christmas Carol” storyline must revolve around that in some way.
So is Chuck Bass “Scrooge?” He sure looks unhappy in this photo!
