Beauty and the Beast in 3D - Coming 2010

Beauty-and-the-beast-dvd I just heard on the radio that in 2010, Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment will be releasing ‘Beauty and the Beast’ in 3D. Disney is all about 3D these days!

The film creators will be taking the original pictures from the film and creating a 3D movie out of them. It’s not an easy task, which is probably why we won’t see it until 2010.

‘Beauty and the Beast’ is one of my all-time favorite Disney movies. I love the story behind it and the fact that I could see this movie in 3D is very exciting. What do you all think about all these 3D movies? Is Disney going overboard, or is this really what audiences want?

I have mixed feelings about this. I’m very excited that Disney is re-releasing the film in theatres. Beauty and the Beast is my favorite film ever. I just hope the characters look the same once the film is formatted into 3D. It’s not going to be computer animated, is it? I hope not.

Well, I am excited about Beauty and the Beast coming back, but I do agree with Jeff that the characters should be the same. Also ever since I watched Beauty and the Beast this year I really think Lumiere ( the candlestick) should star in a movie, even though Jerry Obach is dead I saw on you tube in a House of Mouse cartoon that Lumiere was in it, and I do not think Jerry Obach was alive when that happened. What I’m thinking is instead of having to have someone imitate the voice of the character and have Lumiere totally different (I would like him to be the same) I think that someone could say the script then with a computer they could change the person’s voice into Lumiere’s. That’s my opinion, the reasons why I think Lumiere should be in a movie is he’s hilarious and he could have some action but still be the same old Lumiere if he wanted to.
