A survey done by Sky 1 in the UK named David and Victoria Beckham the best modern family. The couple and their three boys beat out the Simpsons, who took home second place.
Kate Winslet and Davina McCall were named best moms and Peter Andre took home the title of best dad.
I’m glad the Beckhams beat the Simpsons, if only because they are real. While the Simpsons are a funny, loving family, they’re merely a representation of a modern family. They are more relatable to the average family, though. Nowhere in this survey did they define the term “best,” which is unfortaunte. Knowing exactly what they were looking for would make making fun of the results easier!

WIN is Women In Need, which shelters 1500 children every night – half of whom are under 5. Being a mother myself I can’t imagine not being able to provide a warm safe bed for my child, yet that is what the WIN clients face on a daily basis. WIN teaches the life skills women need to care for their families and flourish independently. Over 90% of the women who graduate from WIN and find permanent housing are still in that housing two years later.
