I was born in 1970 so there was no way that I could have seen Elvis doing his popular Blue Christmas number live. But I’ve seen it as a music clip though. When I first saw the Elvis-Martina duet of the same number, I first thought because of the late 60s hair style, it was Prescilla doing it with him. It surprised me to see on the character generator of one tv station airing it spelled out Martina’s name. I knew she doesn’t belong to his era. So I made a research about it on the internet.

I work in tv so I understand the technology. From what I have seen, being “tricked” that they were singing together side by side, I would say it was an effective use of chroma board.

It’s another good way to keep Elvis alive and be appreciated by the generation that come after his death.

Looking forward to more of these wonders.
