Last night, Jay-Z held his Answer the Call benefit concert at Madison Square Garden, where he remembered those who lost their lives in the 9/11 terrorist attack on the Twin Towers 8 years ago. The concert benefitted the New York Police and Fire Widows’ and Children’s Benefit Fund.
He had a wealth of performers on the show including Beyoncé, Mary J. Blige, Santigold, Kid Cudi, Rihanna, Kanye West, Diddy, Pharrell and John Mayer. It was so amazing to me how all those people (the performers and the audience) joined together for this cause and to pay their respects to the people who lost their lives or lost friends and family members.
I think it’s great that Jay-Z and Beyoncé are so active with charity work and benefits. The concert was great and everyone seemed to be having good time. I’ve got video here of the entire event.
