Wow! According to reports, Beyoncé “Sasha Fierce” Knowles knows that we’re feeling the scrunch of this poor economy and has showed how caring she is by treating 1,400 Detroiters to free tickets to her “I Am…”
concert tour.
She gave away 1,400 tickets for her show on Saturday at the Palace of Auburn Hills. Fans lined up for the tickets at the Oakland Livingston Human Service Agency in Pontiac. People were there from 2 pm until 5 pm, when the distribution ended. On Friday, they will be giving away any extra tickets from 2 – 5 pm. Each person is permitted to obtain a limit of six tickets.
Lauren Moore, who just turned 18, said, "I think it’s just fabulous. If you want people to come to your concerts if you’re Beyoncé or somebody smaller involved in the community which they are doing and they let us get a sneak peak, because this is my first concert and it’s my birthday so I’m sitting out here waiting."
Oanita Sumpter had a sweet story to share in which she revealed that she has been laid off from her job and couldn’t afford ticket for her daughter, "I’m going to tell you the God’s honest truth, I’m not a big Beyoncé fan but I’m standing in line for my baby to get a ticket because I’m laid off work and I couldn’t get one, so I’ve been here since 7:30 this morning to get a ticket."
That is so sweet! I’m so glad Beyoncé decided to do that. Especially in Detroit where so many of them were working in the car industry and have lost their jobs. Amazing.

I think this is amazingly generous of her! I’m going to this show and have been excited since like…MARCH! lol
However, I will be upset if any of the tickets she GAVE OUT will have better seats than my barely-could-afford-it-but-managed PAID FOR seats that I bought back in April!!
That is really a brave move.Thank you beyonce for this offer.I think there must be something like these during these recession days.
