Beyoncé Pays Tribute to Michael Jackson

Last night, at a show in New Orleans for her “I Am…” tour, Beyoncé Knowles decided to dedicated a segment of the show in memory of Michael Jackson who has died at the age of 50, who’s memorial takes 90305W10_JACKSON_B_GR_01place today.

After singing several of her hits at the Superdome, the singer dedicated her hit single “Halo” to the King of Pop. On the big screen they showed video of Beyoncé at the age of 5, trying to do her best impression of Michael. During this Beyoncé said, "That’s when I decided who I wanted to be."

Beyoncé also said, "Michael thank you so much for teaching me so much. We all miss you. We thank you for all the beautiful memories. Thank you bringing our families together. Thank you for giving us all those great times. We love you. There will only be one Michael Jackson. Long live the king."

Also, she replaced some of the lyrics in her song “Halo” to better fit the way she felt. She sang, “Michael I can see your Halo. I pray your music won’t fade away.”

Aw! That is sweet. I’m still having a hard time processing that he’s really gone. It is so unbelievably sad. No one will ever be him.

Are any of you going to watch his memorial service this afternoon?
