Beyoncé Says “Dangerously In Love” Was Almost Scrapped

Hold up – what?! According to an interview by Beyoncé, her debut album, Dangerously In Love was almost scrapped by the record label because they didn’t think there was a single hit on the album. Boy did they ever miss the mark!

Beyoncé said of her debut album, “In 2003 I had my first solo album. But when I played it through for my record label, they told me I didn’t have one hit on my album. ‘Dangerously In Love’, ‘Naughty Girl’, ‘Me, Myself and I’, ‘Baby Boy’ and ‘Crazy In Love’.”

Queen Bey tells it exactly how it is: “They told me I didn’t have one hit. I guess they were kinda right, I had five.” Way to stick it to ‘em, Bey! And look show far she’s come after all of that! What would the world be without her music ;) ?
