On Friday, December 4th, Beyoncé’s rap star hubby, Jay-Z celebrate his 40th birthday. That’s a pretty big deal! According to reports, it seems as though Beyoncé knows how to throw quite the bash when she needs 
to.
Beyoncé reportedly planned a surprise birthday party for Hova and invited over some of his best friends in the industry, including A-Rod, Kanye West, Alicia Keys, Diddy and….Kate Hudson? Just kind of seems out of place in my opinion, but whatever.
Anyways, Jay and Alicia sang there collaborative single, “Empire State of Mind” and Kanye West is said to have given a toast to Jay-Z.
While little kids are having birthday parties at places like McDonald’s, the big kids get to party over in the Dominican Republic. At least that’s where Jay got to have his birthday bash!
The party had a 1940s theme and was held at the Casa de Campo. This party was so off the hook that it even featured a fireworks show and the venue was equipped with two dance floors!
That had to be great! It’s awesome that Jay-Z seemed to have had such a great birthday party. Every 40th needs to be properly celebrated!
