Beyoncé has broken her silence about the now famous fall. Here’s the interview:
Beyonce said she knew home video of her head-first fall during a concert in Orlando, Fla., would appear on YouTube and her request for fans not to release the video was sarcasm.
Amateur video shot at Orlando’s Amway Arena showed the singer stepping on her coat and then tumbling down several steps.
Beyonce said the fall left her bruised.
“The heel of my shoe actually got caught in the bottom of my coat because I had a really long coat,” she said. “And, I fell head-first and hit my chin. I was really bruised up.”
“So, when you are falling, what are you thinking?” the reporter asked.
“I don’t know, it went by so fast,” Beyonce said. “I just kept thinking, you better get up.”
After the fall, Beyonce got up and began to shake her head.
“It’s crazy because I went into an immediate head-bang,” Beyonce said. “I don’t know what that was about. I guess I was so shaken, I was like, ‘Just go for it, do it harder.’ Whenever I do something like that, I always perform really, really hard because it makes me a little mad at myself so I just go crazy. So, they got a really good show at the end.”
“When you say, ‘Please, you all, don’t put it on YouTube,’ did you think they wouldn’t?” the reporter asked.
“Oh, of course, I knew they would,” Beyonce said. “I was being sarcastic because I knew that they would put it on YouTube.”
Hmmmm… Interesting….
