He made those statements b/c Bey did not have time to come on X-factor back then. But since she appeared on the show he has praised her performance calling it amazing. & you can tell that Simon made those prior statements b/c he was mad b/c Bey didn't appear. He was also furious that Bey choose another european show to perform on 2 weeks prior to appearing on X-factor. But of course the girl who sung w/ Bey won!
