Big Brother 9: Everything Has Changed

bb9-banner-3-11-08.jpg

Ok, I admit it. I’ve been completely annoyed with this season of BB9. The people they chose to cast are probably the least interesting people of any season so far. With the exception of only one or two of the houseguests, I really don’t even like them much. And the whole thing with the pairs competing together really turned me off. I’m sorry, but I’m only human.

But in the last few days, they have made a few things change with the show. Because of the POV challenge, Sheila is now wearing the infamous red unitard for a week. The “couples” have all been annulled and each person is now playing for themselves. (Thank goodness! Now the real drama and backstabbing can begin!)

No more of the arguments about how the pairs should try to get along and work together. No more of a good player having to leave because they had been arbitrarily paired with a train wreck. Now the real Big Brother we’ve all come to love for the previous seasons is back.

And to make it even more interesting, one of the eliminated houseguests will return to the house after America makes their choice. Life is good. BB9 is finally as it should be.

Ryan is the current Head of Household and has nominated Chelsia & Sharon.

So with all that being said, here’s what aired on tonight’s episode.
(follow the jump for the recap!)

Joshuah and Ryan struck a secret alliance. Josh says that he will mostly hang with the girls, but feed info to Ryan and Ryan will hang with the guys and feed info to Josh.

Meanwhile, James, who suggested that Chelsia be nominated, told her that he has her back.

Josh & the girls plotted to get rid of two-faced Matt and of course, Natalie went and told him. He went right to Ryan and they decided to use Natalie to get information.

Josh told Ryan that if he would back-door Matt, he would be safe for the next two weeks. Ryan told Josh that Matt knew already. The rest of the group was upset with Natalie.

Then came the Veto competition. Ryan, Chelsia, Sharon, Adam, Sheila & Joshuah took part in the competition. Ryan got $10,000, Sheila got the red unitard, Sharon got a slop pas, Adam got a new motorcycle, Josh got a letter from home and Chelsia got the Power of Veto.

Sheila mentioned that she was a single mother and Chelsia told her not to play that card. It made Sheila see that Ryan needed to go after the others since they had voted for him twice. She tried to convince him not to back-door Matt.

Ryan could see that he was the one that would change the power in the house. The others were divided into two camps: 1) Matt, Natalie, Sheila & Adam against 2) James, Chelsia, Sharon & Joshuah.

At the POV meeting, Chelsia took herself off the block and Ryan nominated James.

Ahhh! Welcome back, BB9! I’ve missed you!

So what do you think of all the latest developments? Are you glad or not about the split between the “couples”? Who do you want to see go home this week? Leave a comment to share your thoughts.
