Big Day for Tom and Katie

cruise-family-01_NC

This is a big day for both Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. I just saw Tom interviewed on the red carpet at the 66th Annual Golden Globes. He is nominated for his role in “Tropic Thunder” and I will definitely be watching to see if he wins. My fingers are crossed!

Today is also Katie’s last performance on Broadway in “All My Sons”. I can’t imagine how Katie and the rest of the cast are feeling right now. I am so proud of her for lasting through the grueling process of being on stage 6 nights a week. You made it Katie!!

During Tom’s red carpet interview, he said that Katie would be at the Golden Globes party later, so I guess she is flying in for that. How exciting! I hope they have a fantastic evening together. What a fun way to end her Broadway stint…with a big party! Fabulous.

As soon as red carpet photos are available of Tom Cruise, I will post them.

Why are people so “surprised” that Katie finished her AMS run? Julie, didn’t you think she could do it? It was a job that she got paid to do for three hours a day, with all the perks and then some. Is she that feeble that she can’t do anything but shop in people’s minds? Acting is what she lives for. She left her family behind in LA to pursue this goal so it’s obvious that it’s on the top of her list. It’ll be interesting to see if this satisfied her, or whether it was just the beginning. Her husband is 46 years old. Did she marry a man with whom she wants a family, or did she marry a sugar daddy. The next few months will tell.

Everyone wants and wishes to have it all, Tyler ,there is nothing wrong with that, as long as you have your priorities in order, whats the big deal if Katie goes shopping a couple of times a week anyway, its the media that keeps on about it, its the media that keeps on about anything and everything, and I get the impression that there is more into working on Broadway than just the 3hrs and paticularly when you have a 21/2yr old child, Suri went everywhere with her, and seeing how nasty the media was towards her in the beginning about AMS, yes she did do a good job.

Come on Annie, the woman doesn’t even open a door for herself. She has servants toting all of Suri’s things. All she has to do is get herself from door to door. I’m not saying she didn’t do a good job, but to be amazed at how she got through it in one piece, as Julie and some of the others seem to be – don’t get that one at all.

Tyler, it was people like you if I remember correctly who touted rumours that Katie was not going to do the whole run and she would drop out along the way. Look at Jeremy Piven, for Katie to do the whole run and not even miss a showing is remarkable. She can look back with pride at her broadway venture. I too I am proud to be her fan.
