The season 8 premiere of the Biggest Loser got off to a very emotional beginning. As all the new contestants were on a bus, presumably headed toward the ranch to begin their training, the bus pulled over and they got off. Alison Sweeney told them that they would have their first challenge right then by running the last mile of the marathon last season’s competitors ran. Daniel came in first and got to choose his teammate first and they would both have immunity.
Tracey was only about 100 yards from the finish line when she collapsed. All the others helped her up and pretty much carried her over the finish line so she wouldn’t feel discouraged. Then, she had to be airlifted to the hospital.
Mo was also told to go to the hospital to be checked out. Thankfully, both Mo & Tracey were going to be ok. Mo made it back to compete on behalf of the Purple team, but Tracey was still in the hospital.
Everyone shared their stories and I was in tears when Abby told hers. Shay really touched my heart too. Then the contestants picked teams and headed to their first weigh-in.
After the weigh-in, the contestants found out that they will all train with both Bob & Jillian this season. And the workouts began. Bob & Jillian put the contestants through the wringer and a team of doctors put them through all kinds of tests to help with obesity research.

So the Black team had the lowest percentage of weight loss and either Alexandra or Julio had to leave. They each pled their cases and then the teams voted. Alexandra had to leave the ranch.
We got to see how she looks at home today and she’s lost a total of 60 lbs. so far and looks great! I can’t wait to see how much she will have lost at the finale!
