How scary! During a concert performance at the Big Valley Jamboree in Edmonton, Canada this weekend, a stage collapsed while Billy Currington was playing!

Heavy rains and intense winds are being blamed for the stage collapse which snapped the girders and cut power. Concert-goers described a huge wind gust that toppled chairs, followed by a blinding dust cloud.
One attendee was killed, 75 were injured, and Billy Currington, who was performing his last song of the set with his band, hit his head on a pole and was rushed to the hospital, along with his bass player.
Kevin Costner, who was performing at the jamboree as well with his band Modern West, was trapped under the stage with his manager but escaped injury and apparently helped several people to the hospital as well.
The Big Valley Jamboree is the biggest country music festival in Canada, usually attracting between 15,000 and 20,000 attendees each night. It started last Thursday, July 30th and was supposed to end Sunday, but those performances were canceled after Saturday’s tragedy.
