When I happened to catch this bit on a recent episode of Hollywood 411, I was delighted to see my friend Billy Garcia of Survivor: Cook Islands among the reality stars teaching at the Reality TV School. Ever the romantic, Billy of course, tried to charm the interviewer Maria Sansone. I obviously had an email exchange with him about it and he seemed to have really enjoyed the interview. He’s such a nice guy!
The school, owned by Robert Galinsky is one where aspiring reality stars can go learn how to increase their chances of being cast on a reality series. I haven’t visited the school, so I can’t tell you anything about it personally, but having met a large numer of reality stars, I can tell you that some of the characteristics they all seem to share are big personalities, fun-loving, slightly quirky or unique in some way and absolutely not being shy. Here’s the clip that might give you more clues:

Billy Garcia is a great guy!
The New York Reality TV school is one of my favorite ways to give back to the genre that made me. And Robert Galinsky is a great guy with a great vision.
Thanks so much for this wonderful article!
