Blake Cracks Top 10, Jordin Lingers at #14

aitop2 4

For now, American Idol winner, Jordin Sparks is having to take the back seat on the charts to runner-up, Blake Lewis.

Blake’s single “You Give Love a Bad Name” broke into the top 10 at #9 and Jordin’s “This is My Now” is hovering at #14.

It’ll be interesting to see where they are after summer.

Jordin has a great voice but can’t sing up-tempo. Ballads don’t sell. Blake’s voice is not as strong but his style is very similar to Maroon 5, Justin Timberlake and Akon, all of whom sell like mad. Unless something drastically changes in the interim, I really think that Blake will do better commercially than Jordin.
