Bloomsbury authors are starting to get mad over Harry Potter focus

I read an interesting story in the Daily Mail this morning that a few prominent authors under the Bloomsbury publishing wing – namely Joanna Trollope – are starting to get really ticked about how much of the publishing house’s attention is on the Harry Potter books and author J.K. Rowling. Apparently, some of their other authors, who are all very well known, are not getting the kind of treatment they deserve and are actually starting to go to other publishing houses.

I’ve kind of wondered about this for a while. Yes, we all know that the Harry Potter juggernaut is unheard of and obviously attention must be paid. However, the Bloomsbury brand is not the Harry Potter brand, know what I mean? They need to promote and take care of all their authors with the care and attention that they deserve.
