Oh dear. Those poor tabloids. They must be so disappointed because Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have arrived in New York City with the kids! They arrived at some point on Thursday, in time to settle in before the red carpet premiere of Changeling.
Angelina was seen carrying Shiloh who is looking like quite the big girl since we last saw her. Angie looks really tired in the photo, but you know, I’d look tired too with twin babies, four older kids, and having just stepped off an overseas flight!
Brad was photographed carrying an infant carrier with either Knox or Vivienne. The rest of the kids escaped the cameras.
Some places are reporting that the red carpet premiere is Friday October 10th, but I’m also still reading that it’s Saturday October 4th. I’m wondering if it’s possible that Angelina is set to start promoting the film this week with the premiere being the following week. I’ll do some more investigating and let you know. Meanwhile, Changeling officially opens October 24th.

Do yourself a favor though, don’t read the commentary from the rest of the posters since there’s a lot of snark. Clearly none of those people have ever had babies and don’t understand how exhausting it can be. Also, someone cleverly stated that if Brad is really as devoted to his family as he says he is, then he wouldn’t have been all over Europe promoting Burn After Reading. It amazes me how people have no understanding that all the glamor aside, Hollywood is still a business first and foremost and actors are contractually obligated to make appearances to promote their movies – he didn’t have much choice. Besides, Europe is small – it doesn’t take long to get back to your family even if you do have to travel somewhere.

Malena – I guess there’s not much point trying to continue to explain myself. I know Geography, I studied it as a major part of my education. I know Europe is not literally “small”. However, one thing many foreigners enjoy about traveling in Europe is the fact that it’s very travel-friendly in the sense that you can easily hop a train and go from one country to the next, and if you’re someone like Brad with a plane at your disposal, it’s even easier. My point was that when Brad lived in France and traveled to Italy it was not a huge deal as though he had flown over to Australia. It was easy and quick for him to get home rather than having to take multiple connecting flights.

i’m so glad to see Angie, Brad and the kids together. I really tried not to go to any other sites except Pittwatch as I did not want to see trash. Angie looks a bit tired but it’s normal for parents with new born twins. Look forward to seeing Angie and Brad on the RC.

To a North American, Europe is small. You can travel through 3 countries in Europe in the same amount of time it would take you to travel through one Canadian province. Plus the fact that your train system is some much better then anything we have, it makes it very easy to travel. I lived in England for 2 years and the amount of weekend day trips we made over to Europe was amazing and then before we left we took two months and traveled on the train all around Europe seeing many different cultures. This is not something you can do in North America. I was always amazed that our friends in London thought we were crazy for taking our weekend trips, because the places we went were so far away. I believe Europeans view distances different then we do.

i don’t think Brad leaving his family to promote his films is “neglecting them.” that’s like saying that going to work and leaving your wife with your kids is neglecting them. and Sherry is right Europe is not as big as the U.S. so he could have taken a train back home if he wanted to. brad has to go to work and promote his films if he wants them to do well in theaters. i don’t understand why people are making a big deal out of nothing. ???????????????????????

I don’t think Angie looks so bad….Honestly. She looks a little bit more mature and a bit more solemn perhaps in these photos but I really don’t think she looks bad.
