Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie - Couple of the Year

It looks like Us Weekly is trying to make up for its past of occasionally printing malicious gossip – the newest issue shows that Us Weekly has named Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Couple of the Year. The pair are on the new cover.

The magazine said that regardless of whether people loved or hated them, America (and the rest of us, I presume) “couldn’t stop watching” them between their busy careers, adding a new child to the family (Pax in March), and all their wonderful humanitarian efforts. They made a reference to Brad’s New Orleans project.

Apparently they beat out Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes who came in second.
