The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) have released their nominations and once again, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are up for several notable BAFTA awards.
Brad is nominated for best actor for his role in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and again, Angelina Jolie is up for best actress for Changeling. (As a side note, I found it interesting that Kate Winslet is nominated for best actress for BOTH The Reader and Revolutionary Road – that doesn’t happen very often!)
Meanwhile both Clint Eastwood and David Fincher are gunning for best director for Changeling and Benjamin Button respectively.
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is up for a total of 11 different awards, so hopefully it will be able to win something despite being pitted (hee, no pun intended!) against Slumdog Millionaire again. Brad Pitt is also nominated for best supporting actor for his role in Burn After Reading, which is great!
Once again, I am hoping that Brad and Angelina will see some wins for their movies at the BAFTA awards, but even if they don’t I’m so proud of them for getting nominated – nominations are already a great recognition of their work. I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for both of them though!

The 2009 BAFTA Awards take place on Sunday, February 8th, and they’ll be held in London, England at the Royal Opera House. I’m not sure if Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will attend the BAFTA Awards, it will depend on their schedules, but hopefully we’ll be seeing them on the red carpet soon!

I rarely find Brad handsome these past few months and I must say that this is one of those rare moments. And looking at that picture, I’d say he’s drop dead gorgeous for a lack of a better word! And as for angie, I love that candid smile…very natural and you can feel her happiness overflowing…I wish them luck on BAFTA!

BT, whom is disturbed? what BS? You mean people have different perceptions? Whom goes from blog to blog? I don’t and I’m not disturbed!
Perhaps people view things differently then you. That’s all, being rude is uncool and nasty period. And if people identify with Angie on other issues perhaps you should understand and not be so judgmental. I thought perhaps people on this blog were beyond being rude…maybe I was wrong.

One Hollywood hookup that will never happen: Nicollette Sheridan and Ryan Seacrest.
On Friday’s Ellen DeGeneres Show, she asks the single Desperate Housewives star if she’d ever go on a date with the American Idol host.
“That’s gross,” she says. “I’ve met him.”
When DeGeneres says that Seacrest is a “great guy,” Sheridan snaps, “I did his radio show, and he was very rude about me the next day. So I don’t like him.
“It was nasty … and untrue,” she says of Seacrest’s remarks. “Yeah, I don’t like him. You should have a word with him.”
Mary Ann, ohh… you mean some posters in here… :lol: These “commentors” see what they want to see, what they wished for and not what pictures, videos, people that where there… tell them. They are not just in here, they go from blog to blog writing the same BS.
They are disturbed people that need help.
Hi all, I heard the whole fam is in Berlin. :-) Also, I am very excited about BAFTA – I think it’s wonderful they both are nominated (along with the overall 8 noms for Changeling and 11 noms for Button), and I’m looking forward to seeing them there hopefully. I loved hearing and seeing the stories of them at the awards and afterparties (‘Come on babe you can do this,’ Brad cajoling Angie to cut thru the bushes – lolol) – the kisses, the looks, they soooo looked like they were having a blast…like it was more date night for them than anything else. I just need to see those mini-mes of theirs now. LOL Later all!
Brad and Angie looked enormously happy the whole evening at the GG’s. They are crazy about each other and it shows.

BT, not on this thread, but if you go back and read other threads about the GG, some of our commentors said they felt that Angie looked depressed. BT, I would never name names, as I am here to enjoy every ones opinions and not start battles.

Well, I hope they win some awards since Europe seem to like their movies. Didn’t Brad win Best Actor at the Venice Film Festival for AOJJ? I know Kate is British but I hope they give Angie a chance. Also, the director of Slumdog is British, I think, not that these things matters. Brad and Angie being together are all the awards to die for. Ligaya, are you still in New Orleans?
Congrats to Brad & Angie for the nominations. Really hope Brad will win something since I agree with Mary Ann that Kate will take the best actress award.
So happy for them! They have been nominated for every significant award so far, this means it is becoming more and more certain that they will be nominated for Oscar. Let’s hope they will win something this year.
