The major problem with blood diamond’s is not really the ones you buy to wear that only totals around 10% of mind diamonds. Its the industrially used diamonds that cause the biggest problem, these are the ones that are used on saw blades, and in factories etc….

sherry, i love this article because since i saw the movie ‘blood diamond” (and too a documentary about it) i don’t want to wear some diamonds: my boyfriend ask me: what kind of engagement ring would you like to have and i said to him: one without diamonds, because you know, you never know in wich conditions the diamonds were produce…

it’s great that brad and angie are making that kind of thing one more time, they are such great people!

Do you like diamonds, but not the blood bath that is created because of them, here is your choice then, A Polar Bear Diamond. Polar Bear diamonds are mined right here in Canada in the North West Territories, by Canadians every diamond has a Polar Bear laser engraved in its side. I have always wanted one of these and I don’t even like diamonds. Check it out.

Earlier this month, U.N. goodwill ambassador Angelina Jolie was in Washington, D.C., to observe World Refugee Day sponsored by the United Nations refugee agency. She spoke of her visits to refugee camps in Tanzania and Pakistan.

Congress has the power of the purse and appropriates funding for the U.N. and other relief efforts.

US Rep AARON SCHOCK (US Congress) was among only a handful of congressmen invited to an event on the rooftop of the Newseum featuring the actress. He said he spoke with Jolie for 10 to 15 minutes about how she got involved with the refugees and what Congress can do to help. She told him her mother was from Illinois and invited him to visit a refugee camp.

“She is a beautiful woman and also very smart. She knew the issues related to the refugee camp; she’s not just a pretty face on the issue,” Schock said.

“She did a good job articulating how important the U.S. role is in the U.N.’s efforts on refugees.” (K.M.)

Totally agree with this. My engagement ring is a lab diamond, 100% pure carbon. Better than you could ever mine from the Earth, and I went for it not just because it was less expensive because it was not actually cheap, but because I wanted to feel rest assured that no foul deeds were attached to it.

I always been a fan of Angie, she does a lot of good things, maybe more that we never heard off. The pictures are all so beautiful, posing with the fans & soldier. Brad & Angie are good people & ambassador of good will.God bless them

Patricia – I have seen the film and I didn’t like it much, but Angie is great in it as always. To be honest I watched it because she was in it. :) It is her second major movie.
