Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were "never in the Philippines"

I couldn’t help but giggle when I saw a news report this morning that admitted Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were never in the Philippines last week after all, despite all the alleged sightings and first-hand accounts. Stories ranged from saying that they were in the area for a quick vacation to declaring that they were in the process of adopting a child.

I know mistakes happen, but I especially found it funny that the general manager of the Manila International Airport Authority had to issue a statement:

“I have checked with all our offices coordinating VIP arrivals as well as with the Bureau of Immigration. Sorry to disappoint the fans, but they did not come to the Philippines.”

Why is it funny? Because we already KNEW they weren’t there since Brad Pitt was in France and Angelina Jolie was filming scenes for Salt in New York!

It just amused me to have such a formal statement so much after the fact when everyone knew anyway!

It’s also been refuted that they were in the middle of adoption proceedings in the country.
