Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's Asprey jewelry line

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have moved into jeweler territory by designing some jewelry for high end company Asprey. The couple has designed rings, cuff links, bracelets, spoons, cups, and more all in a snake-like design. In fact, Angelina even wore one of the bracelets to the BAFTA awards, which you can see in this picture:

The reason for the snake symbol is explained as being because Angelina received a snake ring as a gift while she was pregnant with Shiloh. Angelina then attributed the role of protector and talisman to the serpent.

The designs are quite nice. I like the double-sided snake bracelet very much and I also love the baby spoon. I know a lot of people are afraid of snakes so they might be a little leery of jewelry like this but I’ve always loved snakes and have a ring in the shape of one myself.

The collection is called – appropriately enough – “The Protector” and all proceeds will benefit one of Angelina’s charity organizations, the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict. Angelina helped found the charity three years ago.

Unfortunately, a company like Asprey is out of my price range, but hopefully the pieces will be snatched up by people with deeper pockets than mine.
